I got an email today.. I am sure it\'s not true.. but imagine if..
Trey Anastasio is rumored to be in discussions w/ the founding members of the Dead.
crazy!
Hey Josh this could be due to the fact that Trey was @ Dead Rehearsal a couple weeks ago "hanging out". My buddy Justin has the catering contract and told me he saw Trey there.
How many freaking guitarists do they need?

?
seriously!
Do you guys think this would be a good thing or a bad thing? Musical potential aside, if I were the members of The Dead, I am not sure I\'d want Trey\'s monstrously huge head up on stage with me. I would be afraid it would turn into the Trey Anastasio show.
i think bob and phil would give him a slap 1st.
Besides.. Trey is very much in awe of the whole GD thing. I have heard him say so.
I think it could work. Listen to the Phil and Friends w/ Trey and Page. The best Phil shows I have ever heard!
Gonna be tough for Trey to join The Dead when he\'s out touring with The Breakfast. The Dead are gonna have to give up at least Phil Lesh, two tour buses and a drum tech to have any chance of trading with The Breakfast for Trey.
Just in from AP Newswire:
Music news:
Trade talks continue between legendary jammers The Dead and hot young jamband The Breakfast. The Breakfast, who recently signed free-agent megastar guitar player Trey Anastasio from Phish, are considering giving up Anastasio in exchange for off-stage support such as tour buses, roadies, and equipment. Dead drummer Mickey Hart has also been invloved in the trade talks as a possible percussionist for The Breakfast, but has expressed concern about playing with his potential new drumming partner, Adrian Tromantano. "At age 12, Adrian was already better than I ever was," lamented Hart. Anastasio\'s no-trade clause allows him to veto any potential trade to another band.
