Geddy always puts silly things on stage. The tour before (Vapor trails/rush in rio) he had dry cleaners and periodically they pulled shirts out of them and threw them into the audience. All the shirts are red and you still see them time to time at shows. They have the sun/moon logo on the front and on the back they say "This shirt came from dryer #2" or some such. They have also had the giant inflatable rabbits on the presto tour not to mention videos for pretty much every song running the gauntlet from cheesy to hiliarious. On the R30 tour they had Jerry Stiller wake up in a lounge chair to start the show, or last years south park kids playing tom sawyer with a pun on time signatures and alternate lyrics:

Quote
Cartman: I\'m geddy lee, I wrote the lyrics. ready? 1--2--3--1234567-12345-1--2-- a modern day warrior of mean mean stride, here comes tom sawyer down the river with a black man"
Kyle: Cartman, those are not the words!

naturally of course though, it was neil and not geddy who wrote the lyrics.

THey just like to have weird things happen on stage like this that they ignore or pretend are perfectly normal.

Oh I didn\'t even see the MA date. Not sure what to do now... drive 15 minutes to the show in New Hampshire at an incredibly shitty venue.... or drive to Mansfield and have the wretched drive home but a much better place to see a show. Hmph.

when in doubt, do both.

ok, maybe not with rush. They don\'t change their setlists, so it will be the same exact show. Let me know which one you\'re thinking of though. I\'ll probably do one of these and the mohegan show.

jones beach is the coolest venue and it will have way better sound than mansfield

Ticket pre-sales have begun. The first round is western shows. Ticket prices for some shows start at around 100 beans. Yikes!

I enjoy Santana, but have been really dissapointed with the past couple duet albums.  I\'d rather see him release archived concerts than hear another song with the likes of Rob Thomas.

Absolutely. I lost some respect for Santana after that album came out. He is a great guitarist it\'s just too bad he had to go the MTV route.

you\'er crazy. That album was a brilliant move because it opened him up to a whole new generation of fans that otherwise NEVER would have bought his album.. Also, an angel told him to do it. Best marketing strategy he could have done. Sure I\'d like the older stuff as well, but you can\'t argue with how great a move that was.
