Not to detract from this thread, but that article is one of the biggest examples of "fanboy journalism" I have ever read.
Still, it\'s probably good for the fans and the band alike that the show went on last night.
Terrible. I\'m probably the biggest DMB fan on this board, and I can tell you, this is such a heavy blow. RIP Roi, you\'ll never be forgotten.
no offence but i bet Lboogie is a bigger fan than you.
This is sad. RIP
Why does the wrong band member always die?
May Leroi be in bliss, laughing and loving in the light.
Why does the wrong band member always die?
why dont you ever die?
reason #4343 why the Breakfast have the worst fan base ever^^^
with that remark you made that another band member should have died instead (dave?), u had it coming.
how so? One is a talented sax player with a big heart, the other is a loud, drunken, womanizing buffoon with a voice like a banshee. I\'m just saying if someone HAD to die in that band, Leroi Moore would probably be my last choice. Plus don\'t you listen to Tim\'s lyrics, death is a new beginning! And it is, it\'s wonderful, but would I wish it upon someone I know. Never. Celebrities and multi millionaires are the absolute exceptions.

Wow. I am shocked by this. Absolutely shocked. How could you wish something like that? You\'re just a typical person who only sees the Dave Matthews Band in the light that has been cast on them. And speaking of lyrics, have you read of any Dave\'s work? Cause I\'m interested in what you think of them, you know, since he\'s obviously a loud, drunken womanizing buffoon.
Seriously, that is a ridiculous comment. Especially when you\'re going to immediately make any comparison to Tim\'s lyrics. Dave is a genuine song-crafter, don\'t let his popularity define him. He\'s the
****, and unfortunately for Moore he\'d be just another unknown saxist had Dave not gone after him to color in his already beautiful melodies.
this messageboard is going downhill fast...cant everyone get along?
Rest in peace all who have died, and may all of us rest in peace when we bite the dust as well.

Quote me here folks.
Tim Palmieri\'s lyrics are EEONS more touching, sincere, powerful, soulful and brilliant than Dave Matthews. Fame doesn\'t define a person, but rather the love he exuded in a lifetime. Even if Leroi Moore remained an unknown sax player, just his presence alone on the planet would\'ve had the same effect.

I guess we\'ll forever disagree then. Which is cool.

Sometimes fanboy journalism is just what the doctor ordered. I\'m not a huge DMB fan, but I really enjoyed reading that article. I thought it gave a great picture of a band and it\'s fans playing tribute to their friend.

Actually Moore was very well known in C-Ville, VA--which is a giant music town, way before Dave Matthews ever started to play.
