Uh huh. No i understand ALOT of people don\'t like Vince era GD and to tell the truth the few Dead shows I caught w/ the \'03 Line-up matched most of the GD shows I saw in \'94/\'95. For me I LOVE \'85-\'89 as I basically lived on tour . The reason I love \'90\'s GD is mainly the touring I did w/ what I consider my family now. But you can\'t beat 5/31/92 W/ Steve Miller actually keeping up w/ and pushing Jerry. Phil fighting the ENTIRE band to go into the Other One from Spoonful lol.
Oh and on 8/16/91 The ONE and ONLY Scarlet>Victim>Fire>Truckin\' second set.
any 4/71 fillmore east
4/26/72
6/10/73*** it\'s on my hard drive now...let me know if you want it

9/10/91

3/29/90 BEST DEAD SHOW EVER!!! Thats all you need to know....
Gotta agree with 68/69, though I know much has been made of the May 8th 1977 Barton Hall show as being a must have show. It is great, but give me Pigpen era dead any time.
And yes, another vote for not bothering with anything post-Brent!!
Branford and the Dead melded so perfectly that night. If you do not believe in telepathy how the hell do explain this night?
i know brah... i\'m glad someone else knows the magik!!
Actually Joe. When it comes to GD I\'m kinda diiferent than most. I really cannot say that any of their output is bad. I mean yes some of their later years were not up to the Legacy they had built but that just goes to show how FUCKIN\' awesome they were!!
I ate acid for the 1st time @ my 1st GD show so I\'m totally biased when it comes to GD discussions. I will listen to any show by those guys @ any time.
I agree, they have the unspeakable energy. It\'s hard to go wrong with any show, but that 90 show is out of this world. I first heard the Eyes from it when i was 4 and I\'ve never been the same since...
For sure. It is one show that no matter what ALWAYS satisfies.
Ya leith, bruce breathed lots of new life into jerry, lets not forget the great 5-8-77 show cornell everyone has that, phil with the great bass lines,
also that branford show 9-10-91, that is a classic.
you said 74?? how about 10-20-74 three sets,
maples 2-9-73, I think was that the first wall of sound show?

geez I could go on and on any other years? you might want a suggestion. It depends on what you like, I love the drums and even play them, but I also love 72 , 73 dead when there was only one drummer billy is great they had a little more sense of tightness.
Billy K. is a rock! His drumming in the years when Mickey was not there absolutely incredible!! The Dead never sounded tighter for sure. They even had trouble readjusting to Mickey coming back.lol
i first heard the eyes of 3/29/90 when i was 31.....on 3/29/90. yes....i was there. also....on my list is 9/10/91 at msg....the show in which branford played the whole night along with hornsby....btw....i was there as well
