At the Middle East...

Pretty positive I\'m heading down. Any of you Boston-area folks thinking of attending? Al? Igzi?

It sounds like something I would like to check out though I am working on Thursday because it isn\'t a stock exchange holiday and that\'s the schedule we follow at my work.  I am going out for dinner with friends beforehand though it could be something to consider.  What is the price and time info.?

I\'ll put it on my \'If I got any cash in my pocket that day\' list.  I spent way too much money going to see moe. in Philly and Pittsburgh this weekend.  I need to cut down on unnecesary expenses(food, gas, and the likes) to get to more shows.

Project Object is really that good of a show?

I will try to find some music samples online.

Greg,

Were you in PA for the past month?  I haven\'t seen you around the forum in quite a while.

My only Zappa exposure has been through the Breakfast experience over the years (Peaches En Regalia, Willie the Pimp, Magic Fingers, Echidna\'s Arf) so I really don\'t know if I could call myself a fan.  I really like all the material covered by the Breakfast.  Zappa is definitely on my list of music to explore.  i heard Orchestral Favorites while hanging with a friend at UMass and thought it was cool.

Well, your taste in music seems to be eclectic enough that I imagine it will be right up your alley.

You like complicated composition? Searing satire? Startling sarcasm? Arousing irreverance? (this word pattern isn\'t working) Quirkiness? And some not so bad guitar playing? You\'ll lke Zappa.

Project/Object will also be at the Webster in Hartford the next day, Thursday.  I might hit that, although the last time I saw them there it really kinda sucked sound-wise.   The Webster isn\'t too kind to all the "little notes".  Anyway, P/O is worth seeing if you\'re a FZ fan.

I probably won\'t make it to the show because I have been beating myself up the past few weeks and need the sleep.  If the show were Breakfast with Project Object, there would be no question about it.

Sounds good and I would like to hear them sometime.

Yeah this has always been my complaint about the Webster, and I have always been suprised because so any people argue with me aboutr it and say that they think it sounds just fine. Never have I been there when I thought it sounded that good.

I can\'t remember a Living Room show that sounded too good either.  I usually have to strain my ears to make out the different sounds of each instrument.
