from Hidden Tracks:

A few weeks ago, a group calling themselves People For A Compressed Trey pooled their resources on Phantasy Tour?s message board to send Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio a vintage Ross Compressor. These folks made the decision that Trey?s tone wasn?t cutting it anymore and decided to tell the legendary guitarist what he should sound like.

tom marshall stated:  Actually, I just want to say again ? Trey really is going to use it in his rig. He really was very touched by the gesture. He enjoyed the card and laughed looking at some of your PT names, and at the dinosaur on the back. We both feel that this is one of the best fan/band moments in history.

:applause:

1. I love his tone with the ross. Possibly the first thing that really drew me in to Phish.

2. Forget the spun out wooks in the lot, stupid "ph" spellings and any/all jedi references.  THIS is what makes Phish and their fans special.

So fired up for a tour now.  It\'s really ridiculous how important that tone is to my enjoyment of this music.  It just hits my ear so nice.

yea actually I have sentimental attachment to a lot of venues outside of ny now that I think about it.  Would be really hard to resist camden, pnc, star lake, great woods, alpine, creek, the gorge, vegas, etc

Camden, NJ  and  Great Woods (Comcast I think they call it theses days) in MA are my two favorite outside of CT venues.

I still feel like the only phan in Phish history who prefers Phish indoors.  MSG, Worcester Centrum, and Radio City Music Hall for me.

(Granted, the full Phish-going experience is more complete with a nice summer lot scene, but from lights down to lights up I prefer the indoor experience.)
