http://barefootmanner.com/Special Announcement
After seven amazing, adventure-filled, mind blowing, memory overloading years, Barefoot Manner will embark on an indefinite period of touring hiatus starting in 2008. After nearly 700 shows, 4 albums, 1 DVD, 5 Mannerlands, 2 Mannerboats, 2 Camp Barefoot Festivals, 6 straight New Year?s Eve Shows, 6 straight Halloween shows, 2 Tour Vans, hundreds of instrument strings and drum sticks, tons of bar food, and a million laughs, the members of Barefoot Manner will spend 2008 and beyond pursuing other artistic endeavors. It is the sincere hope of the band that anyone and everyone who has shared in the musical journey of Barefoot Manner will come out to the final shows of 2007 and celebrate this momentous milestone. Also, the band has just released their latest album, Consonance, which captures the unique sound developed by the group over the years. It will be available on line and at shows for a limited time.
The members of Barefoot Manner, former and present, will never be able to properly express their gratitude to the countless Mannerist friends and family that have shared in this truly special musical journey.
Doesn\'t mean HeyBro can\'t still put on Camp Barefoot 3...I hope!!!
well, i\'m hoping heybro does something, but i doubt it\'ll be camp barefoot since barefoot won\'t be there... Camp Breakfastival, perhaps???
I\'m sure they will. maybe this is the start of the first annual BRaqfast. i was talking to someone who knows someone and they where thinking (or maybe i was hoping) the Breakfast picking up a headlining spot on a Friday or Saturday night

They should def consider doing something with Raq, I mean since the Breakfast pretend like the South East doesn\'t exist, and Raq does 2 night NYE runs in Charlotte, and plays to packed houses regularly, maybe it will give them some much needed exposure.
Just my 2 cents.
This is sad news

I really hope HeyBro continues this festival... it\'s one of the nicest, most secluded spots ever, and the vibe there was great.
personally I think a breakfast festival with at least six sets of bfast is looonnggg overdue.

honestly after RAQ there this summer I hope not.

it\'s definitely sad to hear that it\'s going to be postponed, but hey, at least it will make a comeback! I\'m going to check & see if there are any other music festivals that will be going to that campground during \'08 ... bluegrass, perhaps?! or, a perfect location for a BreakFest! Woohoo! :banrock:
That sucks. The breakfast was suposed to have 2 nights this year. This festival was a really good time and I\'m sad to hear its not going to go on this year...

When in the world are we gonna get to hang with jking?
oh well.

Next time the Breakfast play in Baltimore is my bet !
time to put your shoes on, people
Well...very sad to hear...BUT, I\'m happy to see that they are looking into doing it again the following year. I had been afraid that with Barefoot Manner\'s demise, so was the fate for the festival. Great to hear that that will not be the case. I can wait a year. All good things in all good time!
