Not sure if anyone mentioned already, but Live Earth is weekend. I listen to snippets from Sirius and watched a little bit on t.v., what do you guys think? Definitely a good thing to get the word out on how bad global warming is **** up the planet even though I am pretty sure global warming is not news to anyone. I mean how effective can this be, if they host concerts in different cities all over the world? Would you waste less energy if you just had one large concert, invite the Breakfast, and broadcast it worldwide. Sorry, if my rant pissed anyone off, I\'m bored and should go to bed soon.

i spent a good amount of the day flipping between Bravo, Sundance, and UniversalHD\'s coverage.. i also grabbed all 22 hours of UniversalHD\'s coverage on the DVR, which i\'ll have to FF through when i get a chance..

originally tuned in just in time to catch the chili peppers in HD. they only *aired* one song (by the way) at the time.. not sure if they played any more though, cause anthony had apologized for being sick at the end, and said, "next time"...

caught a bunch of other random stuff - jon mayer, beastie boys, the police, madonna, foo fighters (christ, they were on UHD for like an hour), linkin park... i\'ll be happy if i get an hour worth watching out of the 22-hour recording.

that\'s funny because they only showed one tune on nbc when i saw them.

we did watch the sundance and bravo airings most of the day yesterday, though. john mayer is the most gigantically gaping **** i have ever had to endure. the beatsie boys are the world\'s greatest 60 year old rappers. akon... who the **** is akon and why did he get twenty minutes just to take his shirt off?! genesis still sucks without peter gabriel. andy summers hould have practiced before tour. madonna rocks (i\'m gay, aren\'t i?) but my favorite for the day were bon jovi (really really gay, huh?!). they know how to turn in an excellent delivery without seeming tired or trite (see the smashing pumpkins\' hit song who\'s name i\'m spacing on right now, but who\'s performance made me switch channels). oh, and joss stone. i would pulverizie her **** if given the chance...

I watched on the Bravo channel and they showed all of the Giants Stadium show in NEW JERSEY, not new york!  During performers they would play a song from one of the other locations.  I have two comments.

1 - Roger Waters performed like he was the headliner

2 - The Police stunk!  Sting was visibly upset with himself after constantly not hitting notes he would have no problem with in his solo arrangements.  Summers looked uncomfortable on stage.  Copeland was the only one who seemed to be performing up to par, but it was hard to get past the outfit he was wearing - it looked like he was an extra in TRON.  But the finale - MIAB was pretty cool after they brought at Mayer, but Kanye West ruined it by trying to rap to the song.  Another Police song mauled by a rapper - what\'s next is Acorn going to Who Ho behind Roxanne?

Bottom line, Waters rocked and The Police need some more rehersal time or they should just perform the song to Stings solo arrangements.
