Walsh will probably be the only one reading this, but oh well. From jambands.com :

"After several months of auditions and many weeks of deliberation, the Disco Biscuits have confirmed that Allen Aucoin is its new drummer. According to the band, ?simply put, Allen brought the heat, and the heat was HOT. While we did find that there were many incredible drummers out there, there was only one that made us feel like we were truly dealing with that indescribable feeling called BISCO. When Allen Aucoin was beating the skins, bisco was in the air. You could close your eyes and it just felt right, and in the end, that was the biggest factor in our decision to take Allen. We like to call it the X-Factor.? Aucoin first performed with the band during the second night of its Atlantic City drum off. An Aucoin augmented Disco Biscuits will perform on December 28 at Philadelphia?s Tower Theater."

great to hear.. is this guy from another band? very excited for the Biscuits. the X-factor is what its all about. looking forward to some new **** from the trance fusion maniacs. i heard theyre going to play HOB chi-town for 3 nights or something late winter/early spring.

actually just checked out their site and they got one date in feb. for chicago. already psyched for it. the aragon is a bad-ass venue too.

Good to hear they have this sorted. Mule played about for far too long trying to get the "right" bass player and I feared the biscuits might do the same.

I suppose I can hope now that they will throw in a UK date before the jaminthedam.

Its good that they have a permanent drummer. It is time for Bisco to move on and start writing and touring again, heavily.

hes great too. ive heard the set he played in atlantic city, and it was very good. his brother was posting on the biscoradio board and he said that allen quit his job 6 months ago and has done nothing but practice biscuits songs 8 hours a day. he definitely deserves the gig. im going to all 4 nights of the biscuits new years run.

i like how the biscuits booked a NYE run and sold hella tickets without them or any of the fans knowing who the drummer was or if they would find a suitable one :lol:
