Deep Banana Blackout Is Back for the Boot
Following their performance at this year\'s Gathering of the Vibes, Deep Banana Blackout has announced they will return to the stage for four more shows in 2007. The group, which often has delivered home-state gigs around Thanksigivng, will do once once again this year, with a performance at Toad\'s Place in New Haven on Wednesday November 21 (where T. Lavitz will join in as well). The band will then perform over three consecutive nights in mid-December, with a show at the Paradise in Boston on December 13, followed by a two-night stand at New York\'s Bowery Ballroom on December 14 and 15.
DBB guitarist Fuzz sums up the band\'s return in noting, "Every time we get together, we\'re reminded as to how much fun it is to make music together. While the days of doing 250 shows a year are behind us, it still feels great to dust off the old songs and get together to \'Put The Boot Down\' every so often."

Fuzz needs to get DBB back together because Rolla sucks.
good news.
i can see myself doing EBB (everything but boston) long as the breakfast schedule stays null.
a co-bill would be alright..... Paradise in Boston (thats college area)..... great opportunity to get some new heads on board.
Sounds like fun. Might want to do NYC.
I\'ll stop in to Toad\'s to see what is going on.

That comment sucks! Not cool at all..... Rolla is different then DBB..."Sucks" is a bit harsh.

i agree chris, but this is typical of what goes on around here. i didn\'t love rolla but i didn\'t dislike them either. i do love fuzz. i think he\'s a great player and a very nice guy. i will continue to support him when i can. i will also see at least one of these shows. i have a very memorable experience seeing them at the bowery.
I thought Rolla was great at the Danbury show.
Nobody Moves, Nobody Gets Hurt!!!
I have seen Rolla a bunch of times on co-bills / festivals etc. They just don\'t do anything for me. They seem like a run of the mill band, no passion just all business etc
Now DBB on the other hand can bring it. I have seen flat DBB shows but there is always a little something extra an aura if you will. Perhaps it is their history or Jen or the horns but Rolla lacks any originality IMHO.
I enjoy Fuzz\'s guitar playing and I think he brings a lot of energy to both groups but Rolla\'s music seems to generic
