Caitlin and her new band KICKING DAISIES booked Daniel St for Sunday at 3pm.  They told us we could sell 400 tickets (probably thinking we were full of **** and could never do it) and we sold out in 4 days and actually sold a few more then 400.  On Wednesday I get a call that says, you can\'t bring 400+ in here. So we book a second show for 5:30.  Since yesterday we\'ve been scrambling to get 100 people to move to the 5:30 show while trying to get 200 more tickets sold.

We have about 100 left as of now, Thursday night....we need to fill the place because we have some important business people coming down.  If you heard them at The Warehouse with The Breakfast and liked what you heard, please come on down again.  They have some new music and it will really help out the kids. Bring your kids, nieces, nephews...or come down and see what the buzz is all about.  The box office will have tickets Saturday at the GTB show and I\'ll be there with some.

Thanks....Chris

If you get them to open with "Midnight From The Inside Out" I\'ll go....

After reading this thread this AM, then hearing this song on the way into work, I thought this would be a great song for a hard rockin\' kids band to play..... errr(with the exception of 1 very small drug reference...which could easily be toned down).

lyrically it references  nursery rhymes and cotton candy...

musically, I don\'t think it\'s anything that crew of kids couldn\'t handle... plus it rocks...

although TBC maybe an old man band.

just thought I\'d throw it out there.

Just change "needle, mirror, spoon" to "Beatles, nearer, balloon"...

Do you have a good live version of this?  I love the Crowes, but I really hate the Lions album.

When is KD playing Toad\'s?  Looks like it\'s time for the next step.

Love "Midnight"...even the false intro.  I\'ll pass the word.  They do play a few covers but mostly originals so this owuld be a cool one.

To answer the Toad\'s question: We need to open our market East and North.  Right now the base of fans is from Fairfield to Milford.  The kids are playing Middle schools for free to promote themselves.  If anyone has connections at middle schools, please let me know. We would love for them to play any middle school that will have them.

As soon as we can guarantee 800+ at Toad\'s we\'ll go for it.

looks like you\'re getting pretty close to 800 with the two daniel street shows.

might want to check out amity teen center in woodbridge.  just played there last night and these kids were all about wanting more and more new music.  teen centers = hotbed for fanbase expansion.
Postcount +1.

No can do. Tryouts for baseball and town play.

Cheshire has a teen center, I\'ll look into that as well.

So here\'s how the saga ended if interested:  Both shows sold out with over 350 at each. The kids played great, especially the second show where the girls pulled the lead singer into the audience and wouldn\'t let him back on the stage....he had to be rescued by the bouncer.
Thanks to Adrian, Tim, Robyn, Todd and anyone who came out to the show.

Bootleg videos are popping up and Ken was there taping...THANK YOU KEN!!!

Bootleg:

Peace and Love, Chris
