Day 4:
Camp Bisco VI...The 6th installment of Camp was at the time the best to date. THe Biscuits had finally situated themselves in an area (Mariaville, NY) that would insulate them from the outside world (cops) and allow for enough room to accomodate fans for years to come with this ever-expanding festival. Great acts that weekend included THe Breakfast, Hallucinogen in Dub, Girl Talk, STS9 (PA set), Daft Rock, New Deal, and many more...
As far as the Biscuits go, unfortunately (musically) this was one of their least memorable performances...with the exception of the impromptu Afternoon set. The time slot orignally scheduled for "The New Originals" wasn\'t happening due to Simon Posford absence so the Biscuits took the stage to fill the void...what resulted was a performance that was easily in the top 3 sets of the year.
I would have liked to get the SBD for this, but unfortunately I lost my copy and can\'t find the files. The source that i\'m posting is from the archive.org source. It\'s an AUD matrix. It sounds very good.
Glastonbury* > Basis for a Day > Gangster Jam > Shem-Rah Boo > Basis for a Day

Day 5:
5-25-07 Highline Ballroom; New York, NY
This show was a the first time the Disco Biscuits played the Highline Ballroom. I personally love this place. Great sound, air conditioning, and beer service on the dance floor...and it\'s tiny. Due to size constrictions this ticket was in high demand. Anyway this show was incredibly tight. Short and sweet first and second set, but it had the feel of an old school biscuits show...something that you can\'t get from many East Coast shows these days with this band.
As good as the 1st and 2nd sets were, the Biscuits came out and played one of their best encores ever...at least in the Allen era. The Very Moon is one of my favorite songs and it segued flawlessly into the end of Mr. Don, a song not well known for its climatic ending, yet one (in my opinion) that rivals the end of Basis, Waves, or any other heavy hitter.
Encore: The Very Moon > Mr. Don*
*Ending only

aaah, fond memories. thanks again nn.
you know I\'m still yet to see a biscuts show other than a packed webster in hartford a few years ago that didn\'t impress me much. my tastes have changed a bit though, I want to catch a show next time they come around.
