yea, al making fun of me in that thread was one of the deciding factors in attempting this. I can run, I just suck at it, it hurts and I don\'t like to.
Still, I\'d love to do an ironman on my "before you die" list
Well, I\'m glad Al and I could inadvertently team up to motivate you to take on the half-ironman. Is a half-ironman an Ironboy?
Hey Paul, why don\'t you just come over our house...I\'ll give you a firm foot or three to the nuts and a couple, or five, good jabs to the quads. Day= called!!
Not trying to be a downer, just concerned...
If your knees are really that bad, is it ok for you to do this? If it hurts you that much to run, maybe your body is telling you something. If it\'s a muscle pain that\'s one thing.... But if it is something that training and fitness doesn\'t help, be careful. Blowing out a knee is something that would likely bother you for the rest of your life, and being a person that enjoys athletic endeavors, it would really be a shame to cause any permanent damage to your body...
c\'est la vive.
I guess I\'ll find out. The actual running of a long distance in 1 day never bothered me that much as I made it sound. The problem has always been when I\'m in training, doing nothing but running day after day for months at a time. This time I\'m going to space it out over the week with just running days, just swimming, ect. If it happens again though, then you\'re absolutely onto something joc.
why would you ever wanna do such a thing?
to keep you guessing freddie.
