don\'t ask.

It was listed as passing for "bathable water"... NYC defines this as such:
All of the following conditions are considered in order for a beach to be classified as open and approved for bathing:
1. Bathing beach water quality are in accordance with the following water quality standard for marine water beaches: Enterococci geometric mean shall not exceed 35 Colony Forming Units (CFU) per 100 ml for a series of five or more samples collected during a 30-day period.
2. Sanitary and safety surveys conducted are satisfactory to the Department; and
3. The epidemiological history is satisfactory to the Department. No repeated complaints/reports of illness/injury received from the public or from owners/operators of bathing beaches.

According to the scale, I lost 7.5 lbs since saturday. That\'s with a huge rice/pasta/chicken dinner and TONS of fluids today. I think the heat may have played a part in it.
while your at it,bust out with the video.
thans in advance,

And he lives to tell about it!! Well done!!!!!
You Sir are a REAL Man. That is awesome.
:yay:
I don\'t think anyone has mentioned it was over 90 degrees in NYC yesterday. I know the triathlon was early in the am, but still, damn hot!
Hey Paul, congratulations on training for--and finishing--something so grueling. Well done!

7:31-10:45am was my race, the sun was already full above the buildings when I got in the water. Actually, the heat didn\'t really hit me until after I finished the race. The water felt cold when you jumped in (I think they said 70 degrees F). It was really hot in the park though. There were parts where you were going uphill with no shade. That was probably the most painfull part of the race.
I was thinking about you yesterday on my 45-mile bike ride through the Eastbay hills in 95 degree heat.
Yay Paul --- Great work!!!
well, as I grow older, I am apparently getting stupider. Just signed up for the
Weschester Toughman 1/2 Ironman. This is more than double the length of the first one I did that was the start of this thread.
1.2 mile swim (39 laps of a pool/77 lengths)
56 mile bike ride (~2.5 hours)
13.1 run (aka a half marathon, 52 times around the track)
I just ran yesterday for the first time in over a year. 3.5 miles very pathetically with horrible form. I really suck at running. I have 2 and a half months to get in shape now before this happens on sunday 9/21. Man, I really need to start training now. OOF.
:strong: [BANANA]I\'m stupid[/BANANA]
Now hold on just a minute...weren\'t you the guy who just one week ago posted "better your knees than mine" in regards to my upcoming half marathon?? And now you\'re doing a half marathon PLUS all the swimming and biking? Hehehe you rock! Good luck!
