Maybe this isn\'t news to you Celtics\' fans, but I was just doing my yearly "look and the draft from three years ago and see who is officially a bust", and I noticed the following:
The Phoenix Suns drafted Rajon Rondo with the 20th overall pick and traded him to the Celtics for a 2007 first round pick (other players were involved, but that\'s the heart of the deal). Phoenix used that pick to draft Rudy Fernandez, who was dealt on draft day to Portland for cash considerations.
So, while the logic here is far from flawless, the Celtics essentially traded Rudy Fernandez to the Trailblazers for Rajon Rondo. Great job, Phoenix.
I\'m sure most of you could give two
****, but I think looking at drafts in retrospect is far more useful than handing out "draft grades" the next day, before anybody has played a game.
And FYI, Greg Oden has one more year before he becomes a bust.
