PBFans was going to get too outdated at some point.  And now at least somebody trustworthy has the domain name, just in case.

I\'ll play devil\'s advocate for a moment...it\'s the only .info site I\'ve ever heard of.  Uniqueness isn\'t good for websites; people find sites that are easy to find, period.  In addition, now every link on every web page that ever mentioned the band is going to have to be changed, and that is unlikely to happen.

Assuming that they can\'t get thebreakfast.net back, it\'s not that bad though.  There don\'t seem to be any better alternatives.

(I still voted whassup)

I just accidentally typed http://www.breakfast.info in the old address bar, omitting the "the" and got the following page:

"This fantastic domain is:

for sale or to rent

---------------------

Be hurry !!!

If you like to reach us please send an email typing the domain name in the subject line

email: DomainAgent@poczta.onet.pl"

Anyone got any ideas how much on average such a domain would cost so we could get it to redirect here if people did the same as me?? (I thought gray had bought up all the breakfast-related sites a while back - obviously missed one)

domain pricing is a set price, a few hundred a year. However, if you buy a domain and then someone else wants it, they have to buy it from you, and you can negotiate your own price. There are some laws set up to protect copyright in this sence, but I\'m not sure on the details. - goes back to the early 90\'s when a bunch of guys bought up all the major companies (ford, chevy, general mills, goverment agencies, etc) and then tried to hold out for millions. Courts ruled that since ford has been ford for over 80 years, and the guy who bought the name had no copyright or feasable arguement (like if his family name was ford), he had to sell it to ford for the set domain cost of the few hundred.
