Here is a megaupload link with nearly 1 GB of Floyd -- http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5MEXDJL7  --

Basically, I have gone in to my collection and picked a smattering of recordings from across Pink Floyd\'s career, each of which has some special significance.

There various recordings include:

1. Steps Of Roma -- A collection of Live Floyd with Syd Barrett on stage from \'66 & \'67
2. Interstellar Rarities -- A bunch of rarities from the Syd era
3. The Masses Gadgets of Auximenes aka The Man & The Journey -- This was Floyd\'s "Gamehendge".  A concept story live event which took music from Ummagumma, More and Saucerful Of Secrets
4. BBC Archives -- John Peel Sessions -- The 2nd Floyd Live session from 1971
5. September 26, 1970 -- Electric Factory, Philadelphia
6. Octover 17, 1971 -- San Diego
7. May 9th, 1977 - Oakland, CA

Not much needs to be said about 1 &2.  Vintage early stuff.  Quality is shaky here at times.

#3 is THE ****.  In late \'69 (post-Syd), Floyd toured around a show that was a full on production each night.   Called The Man & The Journey (or The Massed Gadgets of Auximene) it ran just over an hour an included songs from Ummagumma, More, Saucerful and Piper.  On September 17, 1969 Floyd played Amsterdam and the preformance was broadcast live on the radio.  This is that recording, announcer and all.  The last track may be funky, cuz I blew the rip.  Sorry in advance.

#4 is another radio recording.  The Floyd did 2 sessions with John Peel, one in 1970 the other in 1971.  I find the \'71 to be vastly superior.  Fat Old Sun, which opens, contains one of the crispest insanely loud Gilmour solos in circulation.  The also perform some songs from Meddle which hadn\'t been released yet.  Most importantly, they finish with Blues which is a basic blues riff they used to encore with the in the 60s.  Can\'t imagine going through 2 hours of Floyd mindbening psychedelic noise and then them just closing with a 5 minute blues jam to send everyone home with a spun head.

#5 is not only a great show, but a great recording.  Lot of the old early 70s jam classics in here.

#6 is just fricking INSANE.  Quality is not as crisp as the others and it\'s only the 1st half of the show.  Also, everything is on one single "track" or "file".  But this is just a MONSTER of a set with incredible peaks, jams and transitions.  This was the PEAK for these Atom Heart Mother songs which were still in circulation and which would be dumped in Jan \'72 for the Darkside/Meddle tunes.

#7 is a legendary show.  This is from the Animals tour.  1st set Animals.  2nd set Wish You Were Here.  Finale some Dark Side Of The Moon.  This show has some added sauce though.  Basically, when Floyd toured starting in \'72 every show was exactly the same setlist.  This was due to the props, pyrotechnics, stage show, films, etc.  \'77 was no different, except for 2 nights.  This was one of them.  To close the show, the band came out and did Careful With That Axe, Eugene which hadn\'t been played since Jan \'72.  The backup horns didn\'t even know the song and were told to just wing it.

The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash
