Also, if you\'re ever in a dream and you want out, force yourself to read something. Reading is controlled by the other hemisphere of the brain than dreaming, so it is impossible to read anything while sleeping. If you can force yourself to look at words in a book or whatnot and admit to yourself wether you can read it or you are only asuming it says something, you can take contol of the dream. Once you take control, you can do what you want.
Wow! I\'ve never tried to take "control" of a dream... I usually just ride along until it ends. It\'d be cool to be able to decide what happens :chin:
hahahaha. Actually I am pretty harmless. thats why the dreams like this always make me feel uneasy.
It would probably make a good TV show. Kind of like Twin Peaks.
5 years from now when we all get called to testify, we\'ll know why.
There\'s a bunch of ways to \'take control\' of your dreams but they take practice and are hard to master I\'ve only done it once. Look around online, I\'m sure you can find a page on doing it somewhere.
search for "lucid dreaming"
answers.com has a bunch of info.
btw- Has anyone ever been able to dream in color? I can remember quite a few dreams that were in color. Now that\'s trippy!!

I don\'t really want to control the dreams. Unless Freddie Kruger shows up then I need to control the dream to survive and kill him.

I like the idea of a "trip" of unconsciousness. Where will my brain take me, who will I meet etc. You have to take the disturbing with he good IMHO. Like if I can have a dream that will shake me to my core, I can also have a dream that will lift me to the highest points. Sort of like when that paper hits the tongue, You just never know what might happen
It\'s certainly not strange to have a dream involving your favorite band. I\'ve had 10 Breakfast dreams, which is second to my 21 Phish dreams. I haven\'t had a dream involving either one this year, but for some reason around 2000-2001 I was having monthly Phish dreams. It happens.
Unfortunately, I never remember my dreams -- My face hits the pillow, I close my eyes, and then, next thing I know, BOOM!!! my alarm\'s going off.
sunday night i had a dream that i was pregnant. i eventually went into labor in the dream and my parents who i haven\'t lived with in over 10 years were the ones who took me to the hospital.
the entire dream i just kept thinking about all the times i\'ve gotten
**** up in the last 9 months and felt awful about it.
really creeped me out

Yea, I\'m the same way. I only tried it a few times after I learned about it. You know how when you dream, you\'ll be in the woods on the hill (for example), you turn around and you are in downtown boston, and a second later you are in your college dorm room but the same people are with you the whole time, and you don\'t question how you moved that fast or anything about it for that matter, you just accept that kind of thing as normal? I was able to tell myself where I wanted to go and who would be there and a second later I was there. A second later I woke up, but it was still pretty cool to have that kind of control.
yea, but from the sounds of it Deary, you\'re the one I should be running from!

Todd, I always dream in color... Are you implying your dreams are in black and white? :wtf2:
for a while i had recurring dreams about :
1)being at the last phish show watching them play
2)being at or around the last phish show but lost (i.e. not able to find the stage, my tent, my friends, etc.)
or
3)trying to get to the last phish show but having strange things keep me from it (for example staying to late at a friends birthday party at a bar in hartford, then getting stuck in traffic after a uconn women\'s basketball game at the civic center... strange i know)
however, the strangest of them all was when i dreamed that i was at the breakfasts last show, and as the encore they came on and started playing fluffhead, only the lead man of the band was sitting on the floor in the back of the stage sulking because he didnt want to play fluffhead, and then i realized that the lead man for the breakfast was actually my buddy drawz (trombone player of adios pantalones) and then it made sense to me (in my dream) because he HATES phish (in real life)
I had a very odd Breakfast dream last night:
I was at a show which was in a large community center type place. As the band was about to play a song, Ron put on a Ronald Reagan mask. As soon as he did, everyone sat down in little circles. Then Tim started just wandering around in the crowd with his guitar. Adrian was just sitting there behind the drums looking pretty blank. Then Tim was trying to find someone to play his guitar because he "just wanted to be a singer." He offered it to me, I wasn\'t into it. Then I woke up.
I also had a dream which involved floating on a raft with some people from Hollis... and there was a raft floating behind us with two bears on it. We got to the shore, so did the bears, and they started to chase us. That dream was much more involved but I can\'t remember much more of it. I can remember a woman with two bear cubs who let me hold one, at which point I had my bearded dragon, which I gave to her to hold... but she dropped her. hmph.
