Bring back the acoustic mid-setter!
maybe they should play standing on their heads, and hand out free purple sharpies and let everyone draw on their gear while strippers light themselves on fire.
or get Urban Fetch to open for them making the Breakfast look even better in comparison.
Early on in their careers the Grateful Dead often played on set acoustic, one set electric gigs. A few acoustic sets could really broaden the audience. Assuming, of course that is the objective.
Some of the electric "face owning" regulars love has been a little much for some newbs I\'ve tried to bring in. I don\'t want to see them sell out or anything, but I\'d embrace any strategy to keep these guys playing and not going broke while doing so.

That was such a train wreck then in terms of diminishing the energy of a Breakfast show very quickly. Really don\'t see it working with the new harder rocking Breakfast.
anyone else find any of this ironic and/or deja-vu like? i\'m referring to the scene aspect that was brought up with the midset stuff and the like; and also the \'play two shows a week in ct\' thing. cos, i mean, i swear i saw this before, in reality.
igz, i like your idea alot, that\'d be an interesting event to attend. problem lies in that davepeck a) probably can\'t tour and b) would have a hard time boiling/eating seventeen dozen hard boiled eggs per day if touring.
I was just throwing that out there as a rough example, I wouldn\'t expect him to quit his job and go on tour just to sing 1 song.
woah chill out guys, I think we\'re a little off topic

hey, if thats what your client wants, right?
but seriously folks.... i agree that sometimes a little somethin extra will help make the concert event more memorable and bring people back to see something they dont see too often.... for some people thats blowing bubbles out into the crowd (flaming lips), or having your bass player get stupid drunk and letting the crowd spit on him (the bloodhound gang), or having a chess match against the audience(phish), or inviting girls to come dance on stage(robert randolph)....
im just sayin, whatever makes the show a fun time... im all for it
What about eating kittens?
