What do ya\'ll think? I used to dig the SG better, but now I\'m into the Telecaster. To my perception, when Tim plays the SG, the music is a bit more mellow in dynamics, more smooth and midrangy. When the Telecaster is utilized, however, the music seems clearer and more fiery. That\'s what I think. I\'m digging the Telecaster.
I do not think Tim plays the SG enough. Though I love the clarity of the Telecaster, the tone of the SG is jus\' butta\'.
You think so? That\'s cool. No, he doesn\'t play it that often...but I don\'t mind, I like the shows that he plays with the Tele better. I am not sure if it really makes that much difference, but for pure psychedelicness I believe in the Tele hehe.
i\'ve always been more of a tele fan myself. i like the agressive, biting tone it gives off
I used to be a real strat fan, but I am pretty sick of them now....too loose feeling. I really dig the feel of SG\'s, but haven\'t played a Tele in a while, acually.
I like the Telecaster much better... Tim\'s style seems better suited towards it than the SG.
teles have that hideous high end that can split your ears when there on the front pickup alone. I was actually (unplanned) in guitar center the same day as the band after the equipment loss when they were looking at stuff, and I pleaded with tim not to get a tele for this reason. he did anyway. However, he got the amp i liked. i always say sg, but tim said that day he needed a workhorse for the road so he didnt destroy the sg, and thats why he got the tele.
And what a workhorse it is.
Before this tele, he used to have a white & cream colored strat... but, I have been a fan of the SG since the beginning. To me, the SG just has a fatter, chunkier, rock&roll sound.

The SG and Eddie played one on the last tour
