utica........... hmm....... lots of guini\'s and yeah
I dunno Dr. Strange, you\'re breaking just about every nickname-making rule in the book:
1. You can\'t give a nickname to someone who already has one. Ron is Save. It\'s even a question in the Ultimate Breakfast Quiz from Breakfast Digest Episode 3. You can call him whatever you want to, but it\'ll never stick because he already has a nickname.
2. You can\'t shove nicknames down people\'s throat. You can\'t just come on here (out of the blue no less) and tell everyone what to call Ron. To give a nickname or start any lingo for that matter, you gotta just casually throw it around and then if other people start saying it on their own, it\'s a good word.
3. Nicknames have to be original, and almost always allude to a story. Punk Nasty is unoriginal, refers to nothing, and uses the most currently played-out word in the English language, "nasty".
To learn how it\'s done, observe how Freddie just named you Dr. Strange. You were in need of a nickname. Dr. Strange is original. It refers to the story of how strange it was when you tried to tell everyone what to call Ron. Now other people are calling you Dr. Strange without Freddie telling them to. That\'s how it\'s done.
Wolfman you may be too late w/ your post(imagine that)
From the Khyber thread posted by Gencs:
hanging with the band at setbreak i chimed in with a deep elum > attraction suggestion that was used by the band to open up the second set..... i have been dying to hear the Breakfast\'s version of Deep Elum and to me it sounded as if it were being played by the funky incarnation of the JGB....and to go from funky hippie blues into a
punk nasty driven Attraction was pretty
**** hot.....
From the Middle East thread by the flip-flopping Wah himself:
the chitterchatter i been hearin ever since the show ended is "best show ever?"..
imo,not at all...
dont get me wrong, they were up to no frickin good on that stage..
punk nasty was all over the place..
the jam in buquebus was outta the gates technotrancy..
oh yeah Wolfman WHAT is the story behind Ron\'s Save nickname?
Thank you for further proving my point that Dr. Strange\'s nickname for Ron is unoriginal and not catchy. Not only has it already been thought of, but nobody has used it once in the 3 weeks since Steve originally did.
It was made by zee, and therefore it sticks... from now on, Ronnie is "PunkNasty" ---------- in Utica

Dude are you in a time warp? This thread started before the Khyber or Middle East so they obviously used it AFTER Zee proclaimed it.
Anyway you never answered the other part of my post. Since it is part of your nickname rules, what is the story behind "Save"?
save=save the show
Uh duh but that is not a STORY.
no.thats not the story, but leith, dont you know that in this neck of the woods they purify our tap water with sarchasm enhancers?

well,i shouldve just told ya that i was being sarchastic, and i think steevie was too..
one small point i think was left out....many nicknames invent themselves. sure....someone starts it but some event usually happens to spawn it. one reason freddie is the nickname meister is merely the fact that he\'s around a lot and knows a good thing when he see\'s it (ex. see his earlier post about about joc\'s glasses)
i was put here for a reason..
