Pre moe.down throwdown?
« on: »
Just throwing this out there as an idea..... now that the moe.down is right near Utica, would there be a better way to party on 9/2 than the Breakfast at the Electric Company? I think not. This gig makes even more sense now with the new location. Let\'s make it happen people. Breakfast playing at the moe.down would be great too, of course. It\'s been 5 years, they\'re due!

I know it\'s not for a while, but I\'m sure a lotta bands are trying to get this gig right? Would be sweet if the Breakfast locked it up now. That last Utica show was sick BTW, anyone know if a recording is out there?

BTW2 - how pissed would you have been if I didn\'t put a "?" after "Pre moe.down throwdown"?

Peace out

moe.down 05 was my 3rd breakfast show. That was such a sick day of music too. From 5 pm to the end it went North Mississippi Allstars > Breakfast > MMW > Breakfast > moe. > Breakfast > moe.

Do shows still go on at Beardslee Castle? That\'s even closer to the moe.down site...

And yes, pre snoe.down throwdowns are welcome too :)

Beardslee Castle is still up and running. Just went to their website and they don\'t appear to do live shows anymore. Too bad, that is one of the places I wish I could of seen the Breakfast perform at.

Side note: just saw a show up at etree of Seth Yacovone playing at the Red Fox Inn in VT recently. I seem to recall a PB show happening there in \'01 or something. Guess I should go throw it on after some Global Funk Council.

But anyways, the Castle looks so awesome. I am envious of all who got to see a show there!

**Beardslee not doing rock shows anymore reminds me of a funny story. A few years ago I fell into being the sound guy for my friend\'s short lived band. Fell into it because I am interested in sound eng. and I was around and they needed someone to tweak knobs and stuff.

Well we have a gig at an Irish Pub and during the set the bar owner comes over to me to tell me to turn them down. True dialogue:

owner: "Does it have to be so LOUD?"
me: "But sir, they are a rock band!"
