Phish is going to kill this scene and struggling bands are done.

Like big corporations putting mon and pop stores out of business.

i\'ll go see phish shows, but it\'ll take more than what they\'ve done post hiatus to pull me away from the monster breakfast shows that have been going down. but you wouldn\'t know about those because you\'ve been under a rock

although if stoops doest join the band full time, it could be bad news

How many pre-hiatus shows you attend?

I went to 2 Breakfast shows in recent 2008 and I was utterly disappointed. Ellis and Steve tried to convince me that I went to 2 bad shows and needed to get out to another.

Absolutely. This seems like a good thing to us now, but it won\'t be when potentially Breakfast newbs are throwing down all of the money from their paper routes to go see Phish instead.

I guess all that we can hope for (and work toward, via flyering and word-of-mouth) is that when Phish goes back into retirement/hiatus/drugged out stupor for a while, as many new Phish fans (errr... phans) as possible become Breakfast fans.
