Reed Mathis, TLG\'s new addition on bass, to join The Breakfast!
Come ON now Al even for you that was just a stupid post.
even so....that would be the best news i\'ve heard in a long time.
the breakfast have been holding out on us because they do not actually "have" a new bass player. but plan on finding one in the next couple of days...
something about playing a Hash Bash in Ann Arbor April 5th w/ the Macpodz.

Ron and jordan teamed up with Caitlin Kalafus to form a jazz trio rip-off of MMW, aptly named "Giangreco, Kalafus, and Spears." They are playing main stage at Mountain Jam 2008.

I can\'t find anything official to confirm it, but word on the street in Boston is that the Middle East and the other club behind it, TT The Bear\'s, face the wrecking ball on March 29th. MIT has apparently acquired the land and plans to build housing. Again, I cannot find official confirmation, but working in the beer industry I have a lot of credible informants in the bar/club world.
This would be the end of respectable music promotion in Boston. Every other venue in Boston is either Clear Channel or Lyons Group. It would also be the end of great Breakfast shows in Boston, at least for now. Every other venue they can get will do the 3-openers thing and 1 set of Breakfast from 11:30-1. I gotta skip town.

damn that would suck, i really like the mid east
That would really be a shame. The Middle East is like home, and TT the Bear\'s is a staple of the Boston music scene.
the last show at the middle east will be the breakfast performing iron maiden\'s "powerslave".

Wow. They\'d lose a crap load of money already put out. They have confirmed shows booked well into May.

Guess this is not a rumor anymore as The Breakfast are listed for the Hash Bash on the Macpodz MySpace page.
