1st half>trance, psychedelic session>Synth/guitar syncopated peak>fills>vocal reprise with all four voices doubled..
Vera St. is also one of my favorite songs but as far as appeal to the general populous is concerned I think Good Things is, as I said before, more mainstream accessible!
Repotoire & Repitoire = Repertoire
Ahhh who cares, it\'s a French word anyway so it\'ll be gone in the next stupid act of Congress? Freedomtoire?
whilst somewhat still on this topic, if anyone hasn\'t already, do yourself a favor and listen to the Good Things from the Crystal Lake Show (3/23/06), a real heavy version- heavy as in its context: opened up, stripped down, raw, and bone chilling
i think obviously, in no particular order cuz i dont have the concentration to do something like that right now:
psygn
good things
intension
late/ exposure
honeybutter
surreal radio
and for old stuff i totally agree with hard luck harry and may fly.... and if dig isnt on an album (i dont think it is) then i totally want dig there too
.... and if i may add to the good things discussion, one of my most vivid breakfast memories is hearing good things for the first time this past halloween, having no idea what it was called or who it was by, and thinking that it maybe have been the best song i had ever heard performed live.... just my take:shrug:
Ok so the guys have recently been busting out with an unprecidented amount of new material, which begs the question when do we get another album? I mentioned to Tim in Burlington this fact and he said soon. So what does everyone think will be/should be on the next album?
For me!?
#1: Good Things
Surreal Radio
Intension
Psygn (prob my favorite "new" tune)
Tricky Ways
Future Peek
and I\'m sure they\'ll record some things that they\'ve been playin forever but do not have album cuts of
I would love to hear studio versions of:
HLH
Sundance
Love Lake seems to have spawned a new life as well....
I was thinking that myself but will they save the "buquebus saga" stuff for it\'s own "album"
jesus!! how could I forget honeybutter?
HONEY!
Butta butta butta butta butta!
MERGED!!! damn you davepeck/jimcobb!
**violently shakes fist in air while cursing your name**
late>exposure is a must.
I would LOVE to see a produced/live album Europe \'72 style. -taking live tracks from several shows to create a Frankenstein monster of an album.
Hearing these guys in a studio session is like seeing a tiger in a cage. Sure, you get an idea of how powerful it is, but not quite the same
**** your pants effect as if it were running around loose in your neighborhood.
I\'m hoping that at least half of it is material no one knows about and no one\'s heard!!!
