About JamCamDVD
Established in March, 2004, JamCam Chronicles is a grassroots run DVD "magazine-come-to-life" specifically designed to provide the improvisational ?jamband? music enthusiast with a regular audio-visual alternative to see & hear "their" bands where none currently exists. Each bi-monthly "issue" of JamCam Chronicles features 10-12 bands (typically 1-2 full-length song performance from each) shot at a particular festival, artist interviews, and three-or-four Behind the "Scene" feature stories that provide an in-depth look at other folks in the community that typically don\'t get the kind of recognition they deserve, including non-profit organizations, concert poster artists, set list archivists and the like.
$60 for a 6 disc subscription or $17 for a single disk
Our goal to increase exposure for dozens of non-profit organizations and scene-rooted artists, grass-roots festival promoters and the community in general will also be boosted by each band\'s choice to "volunteer" their performance.
I like the idea but I\'m not so thrilled with the execution
<<< Not impressed!
I on the other hand was rather impressed w/ the discs I purchased. I found the mixture of performances/crowd/and artist interviews to be well spaced out and not just typical fare.
I look forward to having a Jamcam DVD featuring The Breakfast sometime in the future. It would only be a good thing for them and the JamCam guys are pretty cool folk.
