Hi All.. let me clear up the camping issue 1st.
We are not allowed to use the word "camping" however "extended visits" are welcome. There are over 75 acres of secluded woodland that make a beautiful "visiting grounds" w/ plenty of shade and shelter.
The event producers are not allowed to advertise the camping er.. visiting guidelines for obvious reasons.
The reason is that we are going to Bethel, NY the home of the original festival and the politicos are afraid of overwhelming amounts of people. So they try every year to do these crazy things to deter people. Every year the event grows and more people come to be a part of history.
I would like to tell everyone that we have added a special event this year. The "FREEDOM MARCH" will depart at about 4am and march on the original staging area "owned by the corporate music monsters" and let our voices and drums be heard. The goal is 1000 marchers and everyone is welcome to join the march! The march will leave both Saturday and Sunday morning.
In addition to his performance, we\'ll have Country Joe as an MC most of the weekend as well as some other special guests!
As of noon today there are already a number of campers i mean visitors pitching tent on RT 17B down the road from Yasgurs. We can\'t let them in until Thursday night however the word is that it\'s already a great party in Bethel!
The weather forcast looks great as well so please take advantage of the reduced ticket prices now. It\'s going to be a tremendous weekend and we\'re looking forward to seeing everyone there. We promise.. no one gets turned around and sent home!
