This message board has been barely moderated in the 7 years or so i have had anything to do with it. That was peck territory
nothing will change as far as moderating goes. it was a suggestion / thought. (one I happen to think would be a good idea)
I could have just nuked the thread and given no explanation but I don\'t like doing that kind of stuff because then you get multiple threads asking where did it go.

see this is the problem. no matter what you do someone always will find a problem or an issue to complain about

and i don\'t mean that as disrespect to you, sammie. just i\'ve been on many a music message board for the past decade and the same thing happens everytime.
a discussion gets deleted that quite frankly warrants it. this leads to the perpetual rabble rousing where someone says \'hey why do you delete that, free speech, yada yada yada.\' and they somehow equate that to communism of some sort and thinking it will lead to the oppression of the members of such internet community. this usually just annoys the administrator more, since they are already annoyed enough to delete the initial problem. which in turn leads to string of deletions, members being banned, eventually the entire board being shut down cuz quite frankly, no one wants to put up with all that when they\'ve been donating their time and money for years to host the site.
so in the best interest of the site, we should just put the whole skirmish behind us and move on since lets face it, its not that big a deal.
I think we should take all the bitching and moaning and put them in one "sticky" thread. It\'s pretty much the same thing every couple of months. It would be like a FAQ. :-)

I apologize for inciting drama with my little 1st amendment rant. Although it does reflect my belief, I realize it could easily be taken as flame-bait.
I was actually only slightly peeved the other thread got deleted because I took a good bit of time writing some thoughtful posts and spent a few hours researching viable bulletin board solutions.
Anything else I wrote is probably because I consider myself funny. I realize this does not always translate into collective consciousness.
