Doozy (or Doozie)
n. something extraordinary or bizarre

so I\'ve always wondered and now I can ask, why is a show with little/no crowd called a "doozie"? before talk of doozies here I just used the word in two instances:

1. "wow, that was a doozie!" meaning it was a knee-slappin\' hearty-laughin\' good time

  -or-

2. those delicious double-decker frosting filled chocolate chip cookies called \'Double-Doozies\'

please folks, enlighten me with the etymology of "doozie" here in Breakfast land......
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash
