so do people like that they have been covering/teasing phish songs or not?  personally, I like it and I\'m sure alot of people who are not diehard fans might like it too.  maybe it will get more people out to shows for the chance they might cover a song or two.  why not cover a band who was that good.

it isn\'t anything new to this band.. stash has been played in the past and holy **** YEM.. not to mention the tom marshall cameo at toad\'s..I mean these guys used to play on phish lot, they cover phish songs in side projects/jam sessions, and it seems to be a lot of fun for them.. the teases have been there for years.. I see it as a resurfacing of sorts.. w/out jordan I don\'t see many dead tunes being played anymore..
as far as I am concerned they can and obviously will do as they please, and I encourage whatever that may be at the time...
Not sure what is gonna transpire. Regardless, we ain\'t gonna forget the gravy.

as long as its not overkill.

I agree Golgi should be scrapped. I just didn\'t feel/connect with it at the Knitting Factory.

Teasing Phish tunes is much different then playing an entire tune. The right Phish cover can work but just like any cover, its good in proper doses. Too much at one time becomes saturated and has the reverse effect.

I personally would rather see the Breakfast play a Breakfast tune instead of any cover, any day.

I think it\'s bullshit they are covering Phish now as a 3 piece. They could have been tearing that **** up with Jordan and really showing they have the balls to play whatever they want.

Lets put a quick kibosh on this please.  They only covered some Phish for Ellis\' birthday, and it really was just Tim and Adrian.  Ron doesn\'t like Phish nor does he care to start covering Phish.  He is just that good that he could play along with the song even though he really didn\'t know the parts.....You will see the Breakfast covering phish when all 3 memebers actually learn a phish song together (a la Golgi).......and I am pretty sure that unless Ronnie has a 180 degree change of heart, all you phish purists have absoultely nothing to worry about....

Well since phish isn\'t around anymore, I would say that the breakfast are the best band playing phish in the land.

but seriously

why not cover whatever the **** they wanna?  Personally I want to hear all of Thriller or Hot Rats

Golgi is one of those songs that no band will ever be able to do with the emotion that Phish did it.

But they should totally bust out an Antelope or DWD or any other of the many sick Phish songs that can be jammed the hell out.
