Lyrically pleasing? The lyrics are terrible. Really not very well written. I\'ll give them the fact that they were kids when it was written, because that is precisely how it sounds.

I lived in Vermont for four summers; the song doesn\'t do it justice.

Yes, the groove is catchy. But it is remarkably similar too..... you all know.... ;) And it\'s not catchy enough that I can overlook those lyrics. When I am introducing people to the Breakfast by playing some show, if there is a VT song I will skip it, because most people I know would be like... WHAT? They would not take the band as seriously will those fluffy puffy lyrics.

Fred, if someone has an opinion, they\'re a loser? I know a lot of people who like No Regret. Loser.

Ugh, we\'ve been down this path before. I just think it is their worst song, and always will. I can\'t help but laugh when I hear "peace and love surrounding me." I know they could have come up with something better than that.

It was definitely not my gateway to the Breakfast. Songs like Puppetry were. When I heard VT song I was worried that a lot of their tunes would be like that. If they were, I wouldn\'t like the band.

Could that be, possibly, because this song is about VT in the Autum??

I think VT song is great... is it there best work?  No, but neither are a bunch of other songs that people seem to like.  Some of the lyrics are a little hippie dippy (which I am not a big fan of), but some are about the outdoors and everyone\'s favorite past time... drinking beer... it\'s so sincere.  Not to mention that the organ & guitar solos get totally rocked the **** out live.  I\'m just waiting for the bust out of the vocal ending like on the 1st cd and back in the old days...

I kind of liken it WP\'s Porch Song.  It\'s not their best work, but it has a great vibe and really has become one of their signature songs.

The last "summer" I spent in Vermont I actually stayed through the beginning of November, when the farm moved to North Carolina.

I have spent a shitload of time in VT in the fall.

Wait a second, did somebody say something bad about No Regret?  I\'d hate to have to read back through this thread, but I could\'ve sworn.....  Oh well, maybe I should just drop it.
