I went to the Berkeley show Saturday evening (mainly to see The Disco Biscuits).
Here\'s what I saw: A guy wearing a Psychedelic Breakfast t shirt. I have a witness (not a .info member).
I tried to chase him down and ask how he knew the band but he slipped away as someone was blocking the aisle.
If Lauren is your witness this info is automatically suspect. ;)
Besides you\'re small enough to slip by someone blocking an aisle. That Zurflueh curiosity was low that night huh?
Zurflueh curiosity is always turned on high. I seriously ran down the stairs after the guy, but gave up after a large girl did a good job blocking the aisle/walking slow.

SCI played People Everyday with Speech from Arrested Development... Now THAT is bad ass.
-
i first saw SCI in 10/98 at toad\'s place, and was completely blown away. i had never heard them before that, and i loved every minute of it. i still listen to that show semi-regularly. saw them at uhart in 2000 and wasn\'t into it nearly as much. haven\'t really paid attention since.

Yeah... I saw them back then and enjoyed them as well. Shoulda stuck to their roots.
I doubt I\'ll ever go to see them again.
Ditto

i saw them a dozen plus time in 98-00 and they were fantastic shows! then they started to get away from their bluegrass style and move towards more upbeat music. i didnt enjoy it as much but i still caught them off and on when they were in upstate ny or festivals. im not too sad to see them go now but im sure their final shows will be a blast.

They announced it last year this is the "Farewell Tour" I have some friends that are going out to Colorado for a wedding that happens to be on the same weekend as the last two shows, so they are gonna hit up the last one. I certainly would if I was in the area. I have seen them a couple times and have always had a good time. Not a fan of their studio material though.
August 10th 11th and 12th @ Red Rocks are their last shows. At least that\'s what I had been told, looking at the website I can\'t find anything about it.

Is it me, or didn\'t they announce that they were breaking up last year????
It\'s not only you...I heard the same thing! Maybe the hula-hoop brought them back to a somewhat reality? :sigh:

ill be seeing them at bonnaroo and maybe one of the radio city shows

Incidents begin on July 12 with a three night run at the legendary Beacon Theatre in New York City. The band then skips to the west coast for two nights in the Bay Area at Berkeley?s Greek Theatre on July 21 & 22, with special guests Sound Tribe Sector 9 and The Disco Biscuits on Saturday and Railroad Earth on Sunday. The weekend of July 27-29 will include three nights at Horning?s Hideout. Horning?s Hideout is always one of SCI?s most anticipated and memorable Incidents. This year?s festival will feature three nights of music by SCI (Fri, Sat, Sun) plus special musical guests Femi Kuti, ALO, and many others to be announced. Then, the ?Big Summer Classic? will return in the form of a three-day camping festival on the weekend of August 3-5.
