Ratdog = lounge Dead and a waste of time/money.

The show was free and it was pretty darn fun!

I didnt say I wouldnt go to any festivals ever, nor have fun at the ones I attend (with or without the breakfast), I just dont like em......

I have some reservations about the one I\'m supposed be at with a bunch of friends next month.  I love live music and nature, but a few days of doing only that sounds overwhelming.

Hanging out in Golden Gate Park in running shorts listening to Wham! and Flock of Seagulls w/ a bunch of other fairies is not a music festival.

Wham! would have been a good addition to last weekend\'s free festival of Ratdog, Greyboy Allstars and Stephen Marley!

Just a rough morning...
I have only been to 2 festivals as a fan (IT and moe.down 05)
70,000+ people is no fun at all in my opinion.  Even though the music was amazing.
moe.down 05 was SER.  That band really knows how to throw a party.
However the smaller festivals are much cozier and a lot more chill.....

**** Festivals.
one set
stinky hippies
portopotties with **** overflowing and bloody maxi pads stuck to the walls....
shitty and overpriced food
yeah, its a great time. Pffffft.

However the 2 that I am very very very excited for are Sterling Stage and Barefoot II.

The only redeeming factor about music festivals is nitrous nitrous everywhere......

Come on.

Everyone is partying. No one has to drive, Music all day. set up chair and blanket and cooler full of beer. Hangout all day being lazy with great music.

Food isn\'t always shitty or overpriced. Last year at Vibes got a nice cup of coffee for $1 and they had really good baked goods for a small sum. There is the specialty chocolate confection vendor (cookies brownies etc etc). Ali-baba-kabobs Always have to get a chicken Pita.

When was the last time you went to a festival for more than a set of breakfast ? If you have been doing them as long as we have you get it down pat. Enough essentials to make the living conditions fine no matter the weather. lots of beer, some cash for hot food. I used to bring tons of ribs and steaks and all sorts of stuff to cook but since I started taping theres no time and its a huge hassle to have to keep the meat cold so it doesn\'t spoil. Plus it is usually so hot no one wants to eat or cook really. Strangecreek / Sterling is a good time to bust out the grills, still cold at night and everyone always wants some hot food after partying all day

Camp Barefoot 2 will be the ultimate festival this summer!  I can\'t wait :disco:  Also, GOTV should be decent - just bc of the proximity of the festival to home (though, it\'d be even better with the Breakfast on the lineup!)

I am looking forward for some Breakfast at Sterling in late May. As far as after that, bonaroo does not look too bad to me, but I still will not go until the breakfast is on the bill.  Never seen the Police, do not think I really want too, at least at anytime soon.  Camp Creek is always a good time for me, I have been the past five years. I am not sure what I will hit up for festives this year,
