 hey, gabo - just go into the place & pretend you don\'t know how to speak English - they\'ll give you less work to do, & if you **** up, it won\'t matter too much! ;)
-
Ahh...perfect!
-
I believe it was restaurant kind of work or something like that.
I thought we already established that he didn\'t have enough experience to be a Flatware Tech.
I think this is picking up garbage and cleaning toilets in the bathroom of the restaurant.

I believe it was restaurant kind of work or something like that. Zerker, talk to Tim and ask him what Scott said to him about a job
-
because, i mean, if you\'re that strapped for cash, just go to a local fast food chain/stop&shop/or whatever and get a job until you find the one that you really want. at least it pays the bills.
dude i\'ve been biting my tongue for a while, but...
:bites through tongue, puts it in ice and calls doctor:
-
Talked to someone last night that is looking for help. Tim will probably no more about it.
^^^^^^^ really what kind of work ?? !
Obviously its not a reading comprehension related job......
 OOF!! :slap:

what exactly are you looking to do? because, i mean, if you\'re that strapped for cash, just go to a local fast food chain/stop&shop/or whatever and get a job until you find the one that you really want. i was/am looking for a job with RI fish & wildlife department but don\'t think that\'s panning out too well, and now i\'m basically a landscaper. not exactly what i wanted but at least it pays the bills.
-
gabo.
for ser.
if you actually apply at every place that has employees around you and then call them many times over the two weeks after you applied, you might have more luck. The key is to be persistent, don\'t believe anybody when they say they\'ll call you. be available to work for all and any hours.
ps
did you pay me back that money for your flat tire?
-
not so good. turns out im too white to be hired around here.
I am calling nannies.
i termporarily found some loot to pay the whopping cell phone bill which was my biggest concern,
That is good news.
but i think im gona have to look up north for workey workey. casinokid could you hook up the details ?
I am willing to bet that you are not looking in the right places. Have you thought about scraping through Georges couch cushins for $0.50 and buying a New Haven Register and looking in the actual "want ads"?
Either way Gabo. Good Luck Broseph. Love ya Braaaaaaaaahhhhhhh

-
Gabo, just start booking gigs as the Ultimate Esteban Tribute.....Not only will you cash in on the Esteban craze, but you will probably score some ser cougar ass....
-
work is overrated. I have been planning a bank heist for 7 years now and am looking for a getaway driver. Do you want in? You will have to be Senor Brimley, only name left, brah.
-
Gabo, the Esteban shirt will take you places...DEF!
Keep your eyes open for masons working on walls and such on your drive.........you never know when opportunity will come a knocking.
-
just kidding...
get off your ass and drive around town. if you need money that badly apply at any place you can and keep tabs on them. you\'re not goign to get anywhere by just making phone calls. oh and wear a nice shirt :) good luck.
uhhhh, yeah. i have been driving around all last and this week applying to at least 7 or 8 different places in hamden, new haven, and westville, am about to head to orange, and have worn my ser esteban shirt to the interviews ive had thus far. shows how much you think you know. thanks for the encouraging advice !!
antbach i spent probably 6 months as oldnewb\'s mexican and have done many random construction jobs in the past in new hampsh. hit him up for me !!
-
true, but it really all depends on what kind of work you are looking for...
Dunkin Donuts, Chilis, Home Depot, etc. are worth walking into, but if you are trying to get into a contracting company (ie as a wallbuilder) or other places where walk-in solicitation is not customary, then the phone is your phriend. I hear ya though Holl...
-
i know that phone calls are effective..it\'s also helpful to go into places and ask around, etc.
-
^ it was only a matter of time, yet not as bad as I thought it was going to be when seeing who the next post was from......
PS. phone calls are effective Ms. Burke. Especailly when followed up dilligently. It\'s way easier to cover much more ground (metaphorically speaking) when making calls to companies all over the area versus just rolling up on companies and businesses, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO MASONS AND WALLBUILDERS.
-
in my experience, i didnt get a job until i was persistent to the point of being almost annoying...
so you were just being yourself....

finding a job sucks almost as bad as having to work that job.
-
Gabo, you made the call for some assistance, and it seems like you have some good stuff to go on. Now the important part is ACTING on the information provided...
Good Luck...
I still say you should CALL masons and stonewall builders (there is this thing called a phone book, the yellow pages - you should find tons of numbers). CALL THEM. Explain your situation and experience and maybe you can find something that suits your experience....
Believe me when I tell you that you wont get anywhere unless YOU take some inititative.
Love you Gabo
And BEST OF LUCK!

never thought of Antbach as the hiking type.

ya know anything about roofing/siding/home improvement? i can see if my buddy needs a helper (I did it for a week or so over the summer, didn\'t do much but measure/cut siding, carry ****, clean up, and smoke cigarettes; he paid me like $80-90 a day I think)
^^still mind-boggling that you actually did manual labor! can\'t even get the damned kid to go hiking or camping with me!
take him out golfing
did you just say mind bottling.......
-
I even got propositioned by a rich cougar on one job.
wow! good for you guy!
My advice is to locate the wealthier parts of town (or any money towns nearby the Rico) and offer your services. Make a flyer and include examples of the fine work you can do (but are not limited to). Believe me, I discovered that there are lots of old, wealthy, lazy or busy people that need jobs done.
^There are a bunch of those people living in Cheshire...if you\'re willing to drive, may not actually pay off in the end though (gas wise) if you live far away.

just go into bezerk mode n rob a bank
-
Just become a sperm donor. Rather than wasting Kleenex, you could use a cup and make tons of $$$. :duck:
You could also be a model at Paier. Halfway decent money from what I was told. More if you pose ****.
-
hey guys i was wondering if anyone on here could hook me up with some labor whether it be random chores, yardwork, or if you may know of an opening somewhere, basically im looking for anything anything. im having a tough time getting employed, can anyone help me out? much much appreciated. thanks !
Here\'s what I used to do:
I grew up in an oceanside town, so there were wealthy people in the parts of town nearest the ocean. I would target the $$$ homeowners with flyers soliciting odd jobs (basically anything) they may need done. I made decent money doing all sorts of stuff [lawnmowing, hedge trimming, moving **** around the property, breaking golf carts (whoops), raking leaves, etc]. I even got propositioned by a rich cougar on one job. My advice is to locate the wealthier parts of town (or any money towns nearby the Rico) and offer your services. If you lived in a more urban area, I would suggest participating in research groups and studies. When I was unemployed, I got paid to sample beers ($50 an hour), to discuss Stubhub commercials and their effectiveness on the consumer within a focus group etc.
My key to not having a job while in the University: I had all the kids in my dorm save their cases of emtpy cans/bottles and I would return them several days a week to the tune of $25-$30 a carload.

That is a line of bullshit. No dishwasher has experience when they start, thats why you are the low man on the totem pole.
What exactly are you looking to do Bezerker, I know you can be picky.
-
they said i didnt have enough kitchen experience. bullshit
Too bad you had to miss Ithaca for that bull ****!
"i worked for a band named after the most important meal of the day!! WHAT MORE DO YOU PEOPLE WANT?!?!?"

What happened? The Flatware Tech job didn\'t pan out?
