how long
is a chinese man.
To all the folks claiming the end days. If our economy / country goes down who do you think they are going to be selling all of their crappy products to ? It isn\'t as cut and dry as your "the sky is falling" arguments.
Sure maintaining our accustomed level of comfort in the US might be harder but they need us as much as we want them.

i hear ya todd...my Chevy prizm has all toyota parts and the same body as a toyota corolla....might as well just call it a toyota corolla. i guess i take the whole "asia is taking over our country" a bit harder than others though because my father\'s business is going down the shitter due to the fact that many of our customers are looking at businesses from China and Japan rather than at us. eh...what are you gonna do about it though? i mean, i try to stay with all the American companies, but like you said, it\'s getting harder to find American made products.

but the number of, i\'ll say, car makers (meaning assembly lines) have decreased drastically as of late. look at the movie "Roger and Me" by Michael Moore. and Ford is continuing to shut down assemblage locations. In the meantime, there are more Chinese and Japanese vehicles being sold in America on a daily basis at an increasing rate.
My "foreign" Toyota 4-Runner was made in America with at least 50% America parts, while our "American" work van made by Ford was made in Canada out of less than 30% American parts. :sigh: NAFTA really **** our country imo!!
And yeah...I try to buy clothes made in the USA, but they\'re getting harder and harder to find.

Step aside Islamo-fascism, I had no idea there were this many publications foreshadowing conflict with China.
Are you kidding!? I have been worrying about this for YEARS. Long to the Chinese long-term to see where the real threat will come from. It won\'t be the middle east.
I am pretty confident, however, that the Chinese will not have to use one bit of force to crush us. It will all be done economically. It has already begun, actually.
The Chinese, as well as most of Asia, have already taken over our economy. If you haven\'t noticed, there are barely any more American companies selling products in America lately. We\'re turning into a technology-based country. There are very few manufacturing companies left now. Don\'t get me wrong, there are of course still local resource production and such...but the number of, i\'ll say, car makers (meaning assembly lines) have decreased drastically as of late. look at the movie "Roger and Me" by Michael Moore. and Ford is continuing to shut down assemblage locations. In the meantime, there are more Chinese and Japanese vehicles being sold in America on a daily basis at an increasing rate. You can also look at your clothing for another example. I bet the tag either says "Made in China," "Made in Japan," or "Made in India"...soooo, anywho, sorry about the rant :sarcasm: but the fact is...Asia is already taking over America.

I can give you extensive examples of what is happening/is going to happen.... But I imagine this is probably not the place.
Oh, and keeping with the topic at hand, I can\'t keep up with all of these recalls! It\'s really stressing me out... I am not even sure anymore if my catfood/cat treats and dog food/dog treats are ok or not anymore.
