i think you\'re being a little hard on yourself. i\'d say your just someone who doesn\'t have a good backup system in place.

what the hell are you talking about?
well, you dodged the question.. and i\'ve gotten the impression that you don\'t (http://www.thebreakfast.info/forum/showpost.php?p=135619&postcount=7) backup (http://www.thebreakfast.info/forum/showpost.php?p=134678&postcount=20) your **** (http://www.thebreakfast.info/forum/showpost.php?p=104094&postcount=92). but hey, it\'s not my data.
There is nothing wrong with my backup system.
your posts above tell me that if you do, in fact, have a backup system, something is seriously wrong with it. but again, not my data.
I just got tired of windows being a piece of crap and decided to go get a mac. Could I have re-loaded windows and gone back and done this all again a few months later like I already have several times? sure.
if you had good backups, you wouldn\'t need to reload anything..
now I have the money
really? i don\'t think you\'ve posted about it..
I could care less
couldn\'t.
but hey, if you\'re content with this backup system that you can\'t seem to recover anything from, so be it.. to each his own. i know mine is safe.

paul, just do me a favcor next time and dont show up at the show with 20 video cameras and a whole crew of folks video taping something that aliens in outerspace have a better chance of ever watching..

I have the session file still, I\'m just not going to go buy another pc.
There is nothing wrong with my backup system..

what the hell are you talking about? My backups are all fine. I have the session file still, I\'m just not going to go buy another pc. I still have all the video files, which are huge so no I don\'t waste drives backing them up, but i have the tapes so I can always reingest them. When I am editing I always run 3-5 seperate save files at all times, depending on however many drives I have installed in the computer at the time. That way, if the computer HD crashes all I have to do is reinstall windows and the program and I\'m back up. If any of the drives crash, I still have the session file from the last time I saved (auto ever 5 min plus random saves on my own) to every drive, so I still have that backed up and if the master video drive crashes, both the old and new program I am using allow you to asign the tapes names, so I just have to tell it to re-record the footage and it will ask me one at a time for each of the tapes and I\'ll be back in buisness.
There is nothing wrong with my backup system. I just got tired of windows being a piece of crap and decided to go get a mac. Could I have re-loaded windows and gone back and done this all again a few months later like I already have several times? sure. I could have done it months ago but I didn\'t have the time or intrest to do it, and now I have the money and I\'m sick of all that crap, so I\'m going to upgrade. If I loose a few hours of editing on one show I could care less, as the program I\'m getting will allow me to edit live like I was swithcing the cameras at the show as it happened which will increase my speed 10 fold compaired to the old way. Work is really busy right now with ncaa going on and this is pretty low on the priorities list for now, but since you asked, there you go.
-
well I didn\'t loose the video files but when I get my new computer I\'m going to be switching brands wich means the session files are useless, so I am by choice loosing the whole session only to be able get a program in which I can edit faster.
glad to hear you have a solid backup plan for your new system.
-
paul, on another note, how much work do you have to lose before you learn to start backing up?

DVD-A 24Bit/48khz Still images were added for each track.
I believe Kim used Alice in Wonderland illustrations for the first set, I forget what she used for the 2nd Beatles cartoon stills ? and 3rd set was
It is audio with still image backgrounds for track tiles etc

i bet thats a pretty serious task to undertake

there are hardly enough fans to warrant a demand for the DVD let alone the 3rd generation of Wah\'s.
exactly why I\'m not so worried about it. I\'ll finish it when I finish it.

3rd generation of Wah\'s.
That\'s the scariest vision of the year!!!
-
i\'m guessing his \'mac\' crashed seeing how he does all this picture taking and film stuff?
-
if he keeps biking he just might live longer than the norm but I for one am not going to hold my breath.
hey, Zappa, instead of giving the money to charity, give it to yourself and buy a new computer, brah! :)

hopefully paul ryan lives to the age of about 131

Better chance of Jesus Christ starting your car up tomorrow morning than seeing the Puppet House DVD.

my computer crashed and I lost part of the project, until I get a new computer I can\'t finish it.
soon hopefully.

I would love to add a high quality DVD to my collection, while also supporting the band\'s wallet.
Do it! (yes, I\'m aware this project is a major undertaking)
-
i remember a poll a while back about which show should be released on DVD and ithink sgt peppers show won
i was just wonderin if there are people workin on this or if it was just an idea that never really came to fruition
