Just got back from a lovely walk in the woods with Sadie... So peaceful out... it was wonderful.

My boss let me out at 3:30 but i had some stuff to finish and left at 4PM was gonna finish working from home but got a text message saying they closed the phones.

Work is letting us slaves out at 4. Which is an hour less of a day for all the regular 9-5ers and a half-day for me! WOOT!

This weather is **** awesome. I just drove to my mom\'s house to bring her flowers for VDay because she is all alone over here. Took me forever to get over here. Subarus rule.
When I left my house at 1:00 my road was not plowed yet. 8 inches or so on the ground. Not showing any sign of stopping any time soon.

Going to take Sadie dogger out for a hike soon. She is very excited. Hope I don\'t get lost.

I saw a few sites. depending on battery life under 5k or so it isn\'t that bad considering it would greatly increase the value of a home. at least thats how i would sell it to the misses :)

the roads up at uconn are HORRIBLE. stayed out last night and just made it home (thankfully we did end up having a snowday!!) i can\'t believe how bad one of the main roads in town is. it\'s definitely sleeting/snowing like crazy...

i had a tough commute this morning as well. i had to walk all the way to the living room from the bedroom in my pajamas. i had slept with my socks on, so the hall was a little slippery, but luckily i made it to my destination ok.
i love working from home. :D

This should have been my commute as well. But for some reason that I don\'t understand my boss decided we should come in. So silly. He spent a good amount of $ so we have the ability to work from home on days just like this but Nope. Had to drive in. It was pretty slippery. Tonights commute should be loads of fun

I\'m a freshman at Paier. It\'s pretty nice to just roll outta bed in the morning and walk across the street to class (when its not a snow day that is).

I drink Hamden tap water all the time, and i\'m ok. It aint NH well water thats for sure, but as a broke college kid, bottled water is too expensive, so i just deal with the taste. Oh, and I think there have been like at least 2 plows pass my house on circular since I\'ve been awake this morning.
Obviously there is a grand scheme against me.....I don\'t live that far from circular....i live down off of lane street...near KC101/WELI.

And I need water badly...I\'m out of bottled water and i hate tap water. i hate the taste. especially hamden tap water. I\'m about to drink a glass of it. If something happens to me, we all know why. its cause i drank the tap water.

syracuse is really bad too. we got between 16" and 20" dropped on us from midnight til 6am or so. really sucks that my \'lifting\' shovel broke on saturday cause all i have now is one of those wide pushing shovels. my back is all sore too. doctor says i need a backiatomy.

here\'s a question: To do your job I would asume you need to be in contact with the office, run your computer, etc. What if you loose power? The laptop would last for a while, but your internet connection would go down, right? What would your bosses say in that situation?
i dunno.. try to get to work? :shrug:

i was just finishing complaining about these kids being home from school without a snowflake in sight. i dont understand why i cant drag their butts out of bed at 7am for school, but come snowday and they\'re up at 5:30 SCREAMING dancing watching tv eating and having a grand old time!

Seriously, you have two options:
1. Leave RIGHT NOW for work
2. Call out and stay home.
Wow, bad drive in. It is deceiving because when you look out the window there is not much on the ground, but what is there is ALL ICE. Given I came in to work at 3:30 so the roads will probably be different for the morning commute, but it was still bad. I had to pull over 3 times to re-scrape my window because it just kept glazing over. That was with the defroster going full blast and the windshield wipers going. The few times I turned off the wipers it just started glazing back over. I probably should have pulled over more often to scrape but given the light amount of traffic at this time of day I was ok. It is a frozen mist>hail coming down so you don\'t even see it while driving. The good thing about my shift is there were only 5 other vehicles the entire commute. Everyone kept there distance, no issues. I can\'t imagine what the morning commute is going to be like. Leave early and keep your distance.
