I was just saying that trying to book shows around other acts in the area on that date is pure foolishness. And trying to blame other events for the attendance of your show is a copout of the worst kind.

GOD help us the day that this band starts booking shows around other shows scheduled in the area......THERE WILL ALWAYS BE SOME OTHER SHOW in the area the night the breakfast are playing....How about, for once, people say, instead of going to see this other show, we\'re gonna go see the breakfast???? oh because you dont like the breakfast more than band A or band B....that is fine, but PLEASE let us stop trying to use "other shows in the area" as an excuse, because it is SO NOT!.

I was reading a dave peck review of a Breakast show someplace in Mass. back in May 05.....even back then the smaller than usual crowd was attributed to the fact that Naughty By Nature was in town......if that was truly the case, they should have packed their instruments away a long time ago.....

Post by: derickw on January 29, 2007, 09:01:57 am: Wormtown has had little love for the Breakfast over the years. i\'ve met a couple of the main guys while doing promo around RI. i get the same ball busting comments from them every time so i don\'t bother to say whats up anymore. they do, do a good deal of positive work around here. And for whatever reason Creek still draws a pretty decent crowd. they don\'t do much for me though. i\'m glad to see the Breakfast headlining a night at the winter festival. a solid turn out for the Breakfast will definitely help there chances of getting a headlining spot at their festies

I agree w/ the stangefolk comments (probally the only band I never bother watching play...they just don\'t do it for me) the smaller bands that play in the cabinss till 5 a.m. do it for me... Strangecreek and now the Wormtown festival which was formerly the Garden of Eden which is Strangefolk\'s annual gathering. All I\'m saying is if they can have 2 festivals over the course of the summer, I don\'t see why Strangefolk has to be the headliner of both, really? I\'m amazed that they still play. Do they even tour that much anymore? Or just play the 2 festivals and chillax the rest of the year.

You have to know that the fest was created for both those bands thus the name. W/O those 2 bands the fest does not exist.
I do think you are right and The Breakfast should be headlining other Wormtown events though.

yeah, the Breakfast being the only great band that attends those things. don\'t get me wrong, i know some people dig Raq and Umelt, but those just don\'t cut it for me after listening to the Breakfast, and Strangefolk and Max Creek have jumped the shark many moons ago. the Wormtown people should just let the Breakfast and Raq headline each night and have a bunch of young up and coming bands in support(umelt, bros. past, perpetual groove, etc.). no need to base a perfectly good festival around 2 bands that just aren\'t relevant anymore.

As far as the weather goes, it will probably be a lot warmer then previous years, especially since the dates are more toward the end of March.

(Lake Placid, NY) -- Snoe.down \'07, the all ages, weekend winter music festival hosted by indie-jam rockers moe., returns to beautiful Lake Placid, N.Y., March 23-25, 2007. Snoe.down kicks off the week-long Adirondack Almost Springfest celebration, which will take place at all the 1980 Olympic venues in Lake Placid, N.Y., including the Olympic Center, home of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics, and at nearby Whiteface.

Friday and Saturday nights will feature moe. at the Olympic Center\'s 1980 Rink Herb Brooks Arena. Additional bands will perform with moe. as well as at other venues throughout the weekend, including afternoons in the base lodge at Whiteface. This year\'s lineup includes: performances by The Disco Biscuits, Little Feat, Brazilian Girls, Tea Leaf Green, The Slip, Vorcza, Brother\'s Past, Moonboot Lover\'s Peter Prince, Sam Kininger Band, Gordon Stone Band, and The Brew.
