I had a very odd Breakfast dream last night:

I was at a show which was in a large community center type place. As the band was about to play a song, Ron put on a Ronald Reagan mask. As soon as he did, everyone sat down in little circles. Then Tim started just wandering around in the crowd with his guitar. Adrian was just sitting there behind the drums looking pretty blank. Then Tim was trying to find someone to play his guitar because he "just wanted to be a singer." He offered it to me, I wasn\'t into it. Then I woke up.

I also had a dream which involved floating on a raft with some people from Hollis... and there was a raft floating behind us with two bears on it. We got to the shore, so did the bears, and they started to chase us. That dream was much more involved but I can\'t remember much more of it. I can remember a woman with two bear cubs who let me hold one, at which point I had my bearded dragon, which I gave to her to hold... but she dropped her. hmph.

for a while i had recurring dreams about :
1)being at the last phish show watching them play
2)being at or around the last phish show but lost (i.e. not able to find the stage, my tent, my friends, etc.)
or
3)trying to get to the last phish show but having strange things keep me from it  (for example staying to late at a friends birthday party at a bar in hartford, then getting stuck in traffic after a uconn women\'s basketball game at the civic center... strange i know)

however, the strangest of them all was when i dreamed that i was at the breakfasts last show, and as the encore they came on and started playing fluffhead, only the lead man of the band was sitting on the floor in the back of the stage sulking because he didnt want to play fluffhead, and then i realized that the lead man for the breakfast was actually my buddy drawz (trombone player of adios pantalones) and then it made sense to me (in my dream) because he HATES phish (in real life)

I don\'t really want to control the dreams. Unless Freddie Kruger shows up then I need to control the dream to survive and kill him. :)

I like the idea of a "trip" of unconsciousness. Where will my brain take me, who will I meet etc. You have to take the disturbing with he good IMHO.

Yea, I\'m the same way. I only tried it a few times after I learned about it. You know how when you dream, you\'ll be in the woods on the hill (for example), you turn around and you are in downtown boston, and a second later you are in your college dorm room but the same people are with you the whole time, and you don\'t question how you moved that fast or anything about it for that matter, you just accept that kind of thing as normal? I was able to tell myself where I wanted to go and who would be there and a second later I was there. A second later I woke up, but it was still pretty cool to have that kind of control.

Unfortunately, I never remember my dreams  -- My face hits the pillow, I close my eyes, and then, next thing I know, BOOM!!!  my alarm\'s going off. :(

It\'s certainly not strange to have a dream involving your favorite band.  I\'ve had 10 Breakfast dreams, which is second to my 21 Phish dreams.  I haven\'t had a dream involving either one this year, but for some reason around 2000-2001 I was having monthly Phish dreams.  It happens.

5 years from now when we all get called to testify, we\'ll know why.

There\'s a bunch of ways to \'take control\' of your dreams but they take practice and are hard to master I\'ve only done it once. Look around online, I\'m sure you can find a page on doing it somewhere.

Like if I can have a dream that will shake me to my core, I can also have a dream that will lift me to the highest points. Sort of like when that paper hits the tongue, You just never know what might happen

hahahaha. Actually I am pretty harmless. thats why the dreams like this always make me feel uneasy.

It would probably make a good TV show. Kind of like Twin Peaks.

Also, if you\'re ever in a dream and you want out, force yourself to read something. Reading is controlled by the other hemisphere of the brain than dreaming, so it is impossible to read anything while sleeping. If you can force yourself to look at words in a book or whatnot and admit to yourself wether you can read it or you are only asuming it says something, you can take contol of the dream. Once you take control, you can do what you want.

Wow!  I\'ve never tried to take "control" of a dream... I usually just ride along until it ends. It\'d be cool to be able to decide what happens :chin:

WEll, anyone who quotes Conan I usually stay away from, but seeing how it\'s supose to be a quote of Genghis Khans that Conan was quoting, I\'ll let it slide. I was just guessing, but if you really want me to take a try at yours, I will. Easy answer, past life. Find those hills and there will be people burried there. Look to what the people confronting you are wearing for clothing as a reference to the era and place this dream is taking place. It they are wearing an ac/dc shirt, no clue. Victorian era whigs, you might be onto something. Also look to the type of trees in the area. Are they native to america? This part of america? was there ever snow on the ground? Leaves on the ground? LOTS of leaves, like no one has ever treaded here, or are you on a path? Man made road or wooded path? Paved, stone or dirt? If you ever leave the hill, what do the buildings look like in town? How large were the trees in diameter? All this will help you locate the time and place.

Also, if you\'re ever in a dream and you want out, force yourself to read something. Whats wrong with conan ?

Hmm. Well from what I remember the clothing is pretty recent. The hill is open but surrounded by trees. Generally has a New England feel to it. I don\'t recall leaves on the ground but I have this strong feeling like it was fall in New England. leaves hadn\'t fallen yet but are about to. No path that i remember just an open area. I can say that since the first "episode" where the bodies were deposited no return trip has taken place to the site. It has been shown in other dreams from afar but never a direct visit to the spot. There have been instances were a law enforcement type figure is trying to determine what happened to these folks and I do my best to thwart them. The bodies are never named and my connection to them is never revealed so to speak. There was an episode where the house I am in hosts a rather crazy party attended by bikers and the crowd is huge. It is all very weird. there are loose connections and occasional it morphs in to an action movie. I am on the run and gung toting thugs are after me

Hmmm. very linear dream or your description of it.

I was sitting here at work all day with the strongest De Ja Vu. So many things felt as if I had experienced them in a dream etc. Kind of cool when that happens but sort of freaky also.

My real freaky dreams always seem to center around bodies being hidden on this hill in the woods and my ever expanding cover up so to draw attention away from this hill. I have had this recurring dream many times. The theme seems to stay the same but the circumstances surrounding the bodies and who is looking for them changes.

These are the kind of dreams you wake up from and you know you didn\'t do anything remotely close to what you experienced but you still have that feeling of dread and paranoia

I have had a couple of repeating dreams. Two come to mind right away..... In one of them everyone is trying to steal my SadieDogger. In the other, I am walking through a forest a dawn, sometime in the fall or winter. (There are no leaves on the trees.) Eventually I come to a clearing, and in the clearing in an old, hunched over woman wearing a shawl. She is bent over picking up sticks and adding them to a huge bundle she has under her arm. She realizes I am there, stops, and looks at me, and I wake up. For some reason this dream scares the living **** out of me.

ok. so last night i had a dream that i was at some airport in connecticut.  don\'t know which one, I had a flight to new hampshire cuz that was where i left my car.  anyways the breakfast was playing in the airport.  which was a total dooze, but i remember a few people there.  this chick tonya from saratoga springs was there w/ some black dude who was taping.  anyways, they played a few breakfast songs, can\'t remember which, but then for some reason they started playing moe. songs.  first they tried mcbain, which is a real complex song, so they maybe got through the first 10 seconds of it before realizing they didn\'t know how to play it and stopped alltogether.  i remember them having sound issues and no one was there to correct them, so tim had to go to the soundboard and fix it himself, until dobson rolled into the joint, acting like he owned the place.  ron was getting really pissed all the while.  for their next song they played \'ain\'t that america\' by john mellancamp, but none of them knew how the second verse went.  tim even went so far as to ask people in the crowd if they knew it, but no one did so they ended that alltogether as well.

next they decided to play Meat by moe., which if any of you know the song, its a badass tune.  love the band or hate \'em, there\'s no denying that.  so instead of ending meat in its proper fashion they segue it back into the ending of \'ain\'t that america\' much to my amusement.  after that whole clusterfuck they were ready to go, so they decided they were gonna play one last song.  tim had song lists, like he does for timmy tour, but for the whole band instead, and he gave one to this kid in the crowd, and the kid picked out yet another moe. song(which was one of two on the song list) Dr. Graffenberg.  This one they actually gave justice too.  Adrian somehow had a vibraphone set up mixed in w/ his  kit and was wailing away on it along w/ his drumming.

so after the show is over, i make my way to my terminal waiting for my flight to NH.  There\'s this little jewelery shop in there so i decided to take a look around.  In the back of the store, they had a couple pitchers of Iced Tea and some glasses, so I decided to pour myself a glass.  After that I see some older guy approach the register in the store and pull out a gun.  I get up right up behind the guy, cuz i\'m fixin\' to bust him over the head w/ my glass of iced tea, but it turned out he was a cop busting the store for fraud or some bullshit.  The rest of the dream is really irrelevent, so i guess I\'ll stop now, I did miss my flight however.  Just figured I\'d share that on this monday morning.
