Tim played Sex Machine at BAR.......
Honestly I would rather see the band pay homage to Peter Boyle by acting out a scene from Young Frankenstein or Johnny Dangerously than wasting a song on some James Brown cover...
-
Sex Machine would be the ****!!!
-
I wonder if the band will pay tribute to James Brown and cover one of his tunes. I know they have done Super Bad and Sex Machine in the past.

Promo for anyone wanting to help out

poo. cant make this. some ass hole booked an urban fetch show in long island the same night....

Are you going to hand out flyers at the Pyramid and do you know when that show is supposed to wrap up? Some of the people there might have seen the Breakfast at their moedown appearance and be interested in walking over too.
the pyramid show is basically at the same time as the breakfast. i have no idea when they will wrap up but the people there that would go to the breakfast will be at the breakfast. the others are there to hang with each other and watch mike and jim play. i will talk to one of them before showtime and see when they are planning to wrap up and if theyd send people to the breakfast. not sure that handing out any flyers would do anything other than create more of a mess for the NYC sanitation dept to clean up otherwise i would have prolly asked about gettting some.
you know it\'d be really cool if we somehow got jim to sitin with the breakfast!!!!!
-
really **** pissed i cant make this show, enjoy all
-
wooohoooooo its almost here. cant wait. Jim from moe. along with mike rocklin will be playing a mere 5 blocks down avenue A at the pyramid also. i will be hanging pre breakfast there and coming down in time for het show.

Just a little more than two weeks to go. I have put some flyers in the local hipster coffee shop. This is on the lower east side so hopefully we can drum up some business outside of the breakfast regulars.
New York After Dark
December, 1998
With a kick-ass sound system and plenty of room to rest your weary butt, this small, fuss-free indie/folk-rock showcase wins the award for the best listenting environment in the city

The Best of New York
April 17, 1995
Past the long bar, the cozy East Village hangout opens into an intimate performance space. It?s a spare, understated room with brick walls, great sight lines, a magnificent sound system

I probably won\'t make this... I never go to NYC... but it looks like a good time.
If the Brew is opening that is great... They played my friends\' wedding a few months ago and I thought they were very good. A bit too Phishy at times perhaps, but talented fellows.
-
I hate NYC also, unfortunately it\'s the place to be.
-
With so many larger venues to choose from in New York City, why do these artists venture down to the East Village to play this modest club? "First off, the owners wanted to design the space around musicians\' needs, so they made the stage bigger (30 feet by 10 feet) than someone else might for a room this size (30 feet by 40 feet). Conventional wisdom says "The smaller the stage, the more room for paying customers." But that\'s not the way they were thinking.
It sounds like this space will be easy to fill up w/ WPOAC\'s ;)
-
Awesome, I will be attending this show. It has been a while since they have been at the Mercury.
-

Easy there wise guy......Posativity begets better results.....I learned that from Shine Palmieri.
This should be a great night. We are playing with the band that played before us at the Dancing Wu Li Festival last June.
