i caught him at moehgan on fri.... on the road was my favorite part man!
-
i haven\'t seen him yet but really wanted to but the ticket price was a bit to much for me
-
yeah, i\'d written him off, but a buddy called with $25 birthday tix and there was no way in hell i could say no!
GREAT show, tons of fun!!! eric\'s got lots of fire left in him and his band does nothing but help push him!
by the time derek finishes this tour, he\'ll be unstoppable. he\'s alreay liquid mercury, now he\'s learning how and when to contain it and how and when not to.
they should\'ve kept let it grow. further on up the road wasn\'t bad, but they should\'ve lept let it grow....
after midhnight sounded like he\'s heard big cypress. same high energy groove and similiar licks. good stuff!!
yeah, i know, but that\'s what it sounded like.
they should\'v let me play instead of doyle. i was looking forward to seeing him, but there was nothing special going on. of course, with ec & dt on stage, its hard to sound like a badass i you\'re really not...
layla>**** was huge!
(but ec should\'ve just let derek play the end section of layla)
GO SEE THEM!!!

man i can\'t wait! its been 15 years since i saw him last and i\'m so stoked! i bought my first electric and strap to match blackie and some pink strap he was wearing on the cover of rolling stone. freakin\' 80\'s... anyway, he\'s been one of my favorite players always (obviously skipping some of his crappier years...) and was a huge influence on me as a young guitarist. not just what/how he played, but he led me back to the roots of where he got his music (big bill broonzy, robert johnson, elmore james etc) which gave me all new ideas, too! and now he\'s got doyle bramhill II playing with him (who i\'ve loved through his work with srv) and some kid named derek trucks. oh, and robert cray is opening. yeah, i\'m excited!!!!
