January 2 - Monday - In observance of New Year\'s Day
January 16 - Monday - Martin Luther King, Jr.\'s Birthday
May 29 - Monday - Memorial Day
July 4 - Tuesday - Independence Day
September 4 - Monday - Labor Day
November 23 - Thursday - Thanksgiving Day
December 25 - Monday - Christmas Day

Not even sure if we got MLK day off or not. What sucks the most is since March it has only been me and 2 other people so actually getting to take a vacation ins\'t even an option. So I will more than likely end up at the end of the year with like 10 vacation days unused and they don\'t carry over and we dont get paid out for them either. I do get paid pretty good but still sucks ass

We do get time off at mine also, they call them \'floating hollidays\' and we get 9 of them. Basically, it\'s them saying you have to be here on xmas, but you can take a day off with pay like an extra vacation day and call it xmas at some other point in the year. It\'s cool that they do it, but sometimes you\'d rather be off to be with family on a holiday rather than just an extra vacation day.

But then again, I get paid to watch sports all day. It would probably be a sweat gig if I really cared one way or another about the outcome of the games. Oh well, can\'t win them all.

I hear you Paul....must be nice to have a "holiday" off
(Although, my family "thinks" that I am on "vacation" all the time)

Yea, I get that one too. My favorite is "Why can\'t you do (misc job), you\'re off all afternoon. We all have to work and wont have any time."

Um, I work too, I just go in 5 hours earlier than the rest of you. Why don\'t you just stay up till 11pm and do it?

Ah, life at a 24 hour buisness. Good times.

No Monday classes at Fairfield University this week.  For a few of my housemates who have Tuesday and Fridays off, that means five day weekend (starting this past Friday and ending this coming Tuesday) followed by a two day week.  For me it means no Pop Culture class... woo freakin\' hoo.

It\'s all good though, my only Tuesday class is Television Comedy.  We\'re doing The Honeymooners and Abbott & Costello this week.

yea, I\'m off on mondays normally, but otherwise, the downside to a 24 hour buisness is you don\'t get off on holidays unless it falls on your weekend day.

In other words, unless you have wednesday thursday or thursday friday off as your weekend days, you work every thanksgiving.

Enjoy your time off you damn free loaders! :finger:
