Title: BitTorrent Question
Post by: ChrisF on October 18, 2003, 12:57:05 pm
Bittorrent isnt even worth using. My computer is hooked up to two 56k connections and the best i can get 1-2 kB/s because its uploading so much. I wish people still had ftp sites. its not even possible to download on dialup with all these people on cable and dsl trying to download from me.

I have a few modems a few phone lines hooked up to the same computer so i can download at a decent speed. i cant get dsl or cable or anything fast where i live.

I probably have an old bittorrent client because i installed it long before it was popular on pbfans.com or before pbfans.com even existed.

Title: BitTorrent Question

For some reason my internet connection dies every 5 1/2 hours. If i am downloading something on bittorrent while this happens the screen that shows the % complete stalls and doesnt continue downloading even after my internet connection automatically connects itself. I have to close the bittorrent window and open it back up to get the download going again. Is there any way around this? I thought someone might be able to help. I am not around to close and re open every 5 1/2 hours, so it takes so long to download shows that its not even worth doing. The only place i can download from that resumes automatically after my internet connection dies is SHNapster on DC++, but there isn\'t any PB over there.
