That\'s right, that\'s what it was... That line really was the sinker for me.
Goonies 2 is my favorite movie. You clearly just missed it because it was made-for-tv.
I guess I should probably throw a "just kidding" on the end of that.

Holy ****. I forgot about that. Great recollection, Joc.
So, right after my escape and prior to the hat toss, I threw out one of my favorite lines from The Breakfast Club where the principal reprimands he detention crew after some mischief: "You mess with the bull, you get the horns," complete with the pointing of the index and pinky fingers to signify the horns. Certainly didn\'t plan that line, but it leaked from my childhood subconscious at the right time. Fine work, I must say.
The Mets celebrated the 20th anniversary of their 1986 World Series title this weekend so I guess I had a little 80\'s retro thing goin\' on, which included a heated debate in the garage about whether there was ever a Goonies 2. I knew there wasn\'t.
-
Chris I believe there was also a reference to them getting the bull... or something... I\'m a little foggy on that part of the exit.

First off, a resounding round of thanks to the hostmeisters, Dave and Lisa, for again providing a fun-filled atmosphere complete with alcoholic/caffeine beverages, the best eggplant in the universe (courtesy of Staven\'s own John & Maria\'s), the best friends in the universe, and all the other amenities needed for an outstanding party. As always, the Summer Pool Party at Pec\'s was one of the prime events of the season.
Anytime you get a group of people to play a wiffle ball game at a party in which the structure and rules are maintained throughout, you\'ve accomplished something. It was an exciting, tight game that was up for grabs the whole time. I thought my grand slam was going to pave the way for a blowout, but the opposition had more success with the long ball, including a two-run bomb off me on a fastball that I served up like a plate of John\'s & Maria\'s eggplant which broke the 4-4 tie they never relinquished. Friggin\' lefties. But the game was worth it if for nothing else than to see 10-year old Mike throwing two stellar innings as well as bringin\' it at the plate. Gotta love a little guy wanting to prove himself against the older folks and doing just that. Glad I drafted him.
Also glad to see my frenzied exit draw such rave reviews. I was about to leave anyway when those two riffraffs, Spacebrush Maturo and Kevin Ross, grabbed me in an effort to dunk me in the pool, fully-clothed. Now I had already been in a ton, and it wouldn\'t have been awful if they got me, and I surely thought I was done for. But then I thought really quick "hey, they\'re more drunk than I am so I can probably escape," and proceeded to kick my way out like a mental patient trying to free himself from being forced into a straightjacket. I took me a few seconds, but I got away, after which I threw Kevin\'s hat in the pool, and headed for the hills, scurrying out of the party in short order, and then saluting the 2 a.m. faithful with "THANK YOU EAST HAVEN!!! GOOD NIGHT!!!" I have to give myself a little pat on the back. It was well done. I considered going back for a proper round of good-byes, but I wasn\'t going to be able to top that. Plus, if I went back, I was likely pool-bound. A tremendous end to a tremdenous day and night.
Thanks again to Dave, Lisa, and everyone who was a part of what is always one of the most enjoyable occassions of the year.

not too much reiteration needed here, great party Dave throws one like no other. If he coud only break away from the beer pong table and make me a fuckin HYPER ****!!!! ;)

Glad to hear that Dave proceeded with the annual party; all the Pecoraro events I\'ve been to in the past (summer party, NYE all-night extravaganza etc.) have all been top-notch!!

What a party. I was just dying to see the setlist. But really, the party had it all. I mean, I personally played 3 games of bocci, an hour of swimming, the greatest wiffle ball game I\'ve ever been a part of, 2 games of beer pong, and all that only accounts for like 4 out of 13 hours. That\'s a party. Well worth turning down free tickets to both Gathering of The Vibes and Sox/Yankees.
-Chris Pitch serest exit ever: confirmed. He also made a fantastic entrance courtesy of new Patriots linebacker Junior Seau. (Actually me in disguise.) Pitchie showed up and got decked within 10 seconds.
-Unbelievable complete 6-inning whiffle ball game. Great stuff. Pitchie got vengeance on me with a first-inning grand slam while I was pitching, but my team came back to win 7-5 thanks in part to my game-tying 2-run dinger off Adrian and Jut\'s stellar relief work.
Thanks to everyone who made food too! Pec\'s mom\'s shrimp salsa and Carla\'s Staven Salad and Elysa\'s apple crisp squares were the best.
See you next year!

the rest of the .info terrorists
Is there an official list of .info terrorists? Have we been assigned to face cards in a deck like Evil Do\'ers?
Haha funny question. I can think of 5 undeniable enemies of the Breakfast State. 2 of them came and went before .info.
Anyways, as long as this is the party thread, I think it\'s funny that I turned down free tickets to Gathering of The Vibes AND the Sox/Yankees game Saturday to go to the party! This better be good!

Kinda thought myself that the public announcement was uncalled for. If it was my party, he\'d be OFF the list!!! ;)
-
Dave is on .info much less than everyone assumes or expects.....
-
I\'m sure if Dave wanted to he could of removed this thread this morning. Of course, there is always the possibility that Dave has not been on .info today. Of course, Ant-Man hasn\'t been on .info in months, so I wouldn\'t worry about that.
-
Nice work Ellis-D. Now Ant-Man and the rest of the .info terrorists can ruin the party again. Do people really need to prepare a team two days early?
Kinda what I thought, there was prob a reason it hadn\'t been announced here.......

btw, what I have in my trunk is none of your business, except for the body that you are responsible for.
Bring her to Pecks Party. I\'ll use her as a pool float.
Have you seen Shanequa?
done and done.
Shanequa was running around downtown New Haven last night. Almost ran a red light and hit her, tried to get her in the car, but she kept barking at the body.

For anybody who\'s interested and is goin to Pecks party. Justin Maturo and myself are attempting to turn this Saturday into a ser Beer Pong Tourny. Whoever would like to join in the fun, get a team of two together, with a name, and get ready to compete in what could possibly become the most competitive event any of you have ever experienced.
