Sorry to unearth an old thread, but I was searching the forum using the keyword "keyboard" trying to see if there was any new news on a replacement keyboard player and I came across this thread. Just to clarify the term "kid\'s jamband"...
they are not kids, but play music aimed at kids. I know they play a lot of schools and such. Songs like Snow Day and happy kind of stuff. Anyway, they have had quite a few notable CT area players from other local jambands you might have heard of including Dennis Fancher of Dr. Juice, Mike Tierny of The Feed, Rob Fried (alumni) of Max Creek, and the keyboard player, who you referred to, is Glen Nelson of Flipper Dave. I\'ve always enjoyed their shows that are open to the public. They do jam. Glen\'s song on their myspace page "Farm Boy" is cool.
Regarding moe down, they\'re probably playing a side stage or a kids tent or such, so I don\'t think they\'re putting the boys out of a job or anything!

excatly. im not sure what is meant by the term kids\' jamband. but I definitely remember seeing and hearing them. so who knows. if so they must be really good, maybe the breakfast can get their keyboard player. j/k

i\'m having trouble getting amped for the lineup...maybe cause of the intense personal hype of last year. moe.down is really all about moe. for me normally, but the breakfast made it so much more. UM will be fun and the phish guys (but maybe not the phish kids) should be fun, but not much else has my attention really. oh well. i\'ll see the breakfast on the way up and then rest up for moe.

Spaghetti Cake is an original rock band that performs for kids. Their performance is high-energy, wholesome, and fun for all ages without being \'teachy/preachy\'. Their positive message is inherent in the music, lyrics and joyful attitude of the musicians who perform the songs. The music of Spaghetti Cake spans the entire range of musical styles from rock to country, bluegrass to blues, reggae to world grooves. Children who attend a Spaghetti Cake concert get the opportunity to move, dance, sing along, even perform with the band! Spaghetti Cake consists of six professional musicians who are all experienced educators. Susan Birk (vocals) and Glen Nelson (keyboards, vocals) are the founders and songwriters of Spaghetti Cake, along with their band, composed of electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, and percussion. Get ready for an unforgettable musical experience that will enhance and enrich your existing music program, ignite the imagination, and fuel the artistic dreams of young minds. ** One of the most frequently asked questions at our live shows is where the name Spaghetti Cake comes from. It is a favorite family recipe that Glen\'s stepdad Buck used to make for supper. "Comfort Food", if you will. Glen & Sue both decided it would be the perfect title for a children\'s rock band. The original recipe to make Spaghetti Cake is located on the home page.

If they are kids now, wouldn\'t they have been like zygotes a few years back????
-
spagetti cake- saw them a few yrs back at camp creek. as far as I can remember they are some pretty funky ****. as far a kids\' jamband goes- aren\'t we all kids at heart?
-
I am a "cup half full" guy.....
Always findin\' the silver linin\' or at least tryin\'....
-
I agree with ya gencs, but I just checked crescendo and it says 9/1 they\'ll be in Baltimore at the 8 X 10 Club. Isn\'t this renamed now? Maybe I\'m confusing some other club in Baltimore. So.... doesn\'t look good. But the lineup for moe.down still looks great!! (BTW - Spaghetti Cake.... kids jamband?) I gotta check that one out
-
Thanks Jenny.......
However if someone from the moe. organization called up the band and said, do you guys mind filling in for this or that, I am pretty sure that the guys won\'t say, "well since you announced your final line up, I dont think we can swing that".....
maybe Spaghetti Cake will all contract the chicken pox or something.....
ya just never know ;)
love ya Jenny!!!!!!

if you think you know what is going on or what will happen [in the music business], you are the stupidest **** on the planet"
-
they just annouced the "final" lineup at moe.org, and the breakfast is NOT on it. But hey, ya never know.
-
Probably not gonna haaaaaapen.....
but my fingers are crossed....
The one thing I have learned about the music business so far is, "that if you think you know what is going on or what will happen, you are the stupidest **** on the planet"
-
nothing phish related- just 3/4 of the band
-
there\'s more of a chance of seeing them at Camp Bisco.
-
I might go to moe.down because 3/4 of Phish will be there.
speaking of that, any clue what fishman/page\'s band is all about...type of music they play?
i know gordan does bluegrass with ramble dove
I know raq played their twice, but not back to back years
-
nothing phish related is going to happen
-
I might go to moe.down because 3/4 of Phish will be there.
-
Slim To None!!
-
I\'d say chances are slim, dont\' they usually not repeat bands 2 years in a row?
-
any idea if they will be asked back this year? I noticed they will be around there right before it like last year.
trying to decide if I should go or not so this would be huge if they will be there.
