The funniest NES video of them all: I laughed for 6 minutes straight. Recommend getting stoned first, but still:

yes, that\'s the Tyson code. This was the second number ever burned into my memory, the first being my birthday. I will never forget 007 373 5963. I knew this number a good 10 years before I knew my social security number.
BTW this thread got me nostalgic...I just fied up the NES and ripped off 35 perfect rounds of Duck Hunt clay shooting, followed by a new record 10m:09s pasting of SMB1
gooooooo!!! i got some work to do

can someone please direct me to the link with the punch out vid or post a link please....i think this is one of the greatest things i;ve ever seen, and would like to have some basis for comparison...although it hurts just as much to watch the \'86 series on rbi baseball, i agree w/ wolfman that it def takes the cake for nes videos.
i posted it on page 1.
thanks dave...i\'m retarded.
anyway that was pretty f\'n good, but having seen both i think the mario vid, although a bit sloppy at times, beats it. the detail and creativity needed to recreate the first level was all there and executed by a large group of people as opposed to just the four actors and the band in the punch out vid. all in all, great stuff....i\'d love to see this for other nes games.

ill never forget the day i beat muike tyson.
seriously,it might have been the highlight of my childhood.
honestly,i think the second baldbull or super macho man might have been tougher.
-
ya i got turned off of punch out when i my 28 yr old uncle would whoop my 6 yr old ass every day for about six months.... i thought then that you couldnt be good at video games unless you were old...... now my 12 yr old cousins whoop my (almost) 22 yr old ass regularly
-
Punch out was alright. Though I never was really good at the game and hardly played it.

although i have no official time recorded, and ur time is quite an exceptional time.... i would like to challenge that wolfman.... ill have to give it a trial run next time i get near a classic nintendo, seeing as how i just moved out of my apt. where my roomie had one..... but for now you can just ask freddie wah or tpalms about my dominance of hammer brothers and knowledge of obscure moves
-
classy, but i clearly have superior mario 1 skills over this fool.....
My fastest finish for SMB1 is 11:35. Are you threatening me Cornholio?

I\'d say both the SMB and Punch Out videos are pretty equal. They both made me laugh equally. SMB video has good use of sound effects, some good creativity with the "tubes", a great crowd, and the best overall moment ("pause".) There is too much sloppy execution for it to be superb, but it\'s very good. Although whoever made all the cardboard cutouts of SMB objects was spot-on. The Punch Out video gets props for having a live band, good use of lighting, and the training scene was great. No crowd hurt it a bit. They\'re pretty much equal.
My favorite is still the A Capaella Medley Video (http://www.devilducky.com/media/28721/) for its pure musicality, flawless execution and great crowd. Also, I would take the RBI Basbeall Game 6 1986 video (http://www.sandiegoserenade.com/2006...e_6_reena.html) over either the SMB or or Punch Out videos.

I\'ll have to wait till I get home to watch the video. Damn "websense" blocks this kind of media. Thanks for posting the link, dave.

For once, I think you have actually carried your weight around here. I might think about buying you a beer this evening.
