after getting past the initial confusion of having THREE songs to choose from (my head was spinning for a good 12 seconds), i went Escher\'s.
-
speaking of eschers, was i the only one expecting an eschers part 3 bust out at toads?
I was, up until Sat. When I was given the setlist before the show, didn\'t even give it a thought. Totally forgot about Escher\'s birthday!!!
-
SR is for real.
it sure is, it reminds me of a rock anthem because its such a fist pumper.

Escher\'s is border line epic IMO. The song is one that I really enjoy and look forward to hearing at any show. There is a great foundation for the song and has so much room which allows for indefinite possibilities. The other tunes are straight forward rock\'n\'roll and that is great, as you can tell by the Surreal Radio closer Saturday night and the DMB in the first set.
-
still, just love eschers. a beautiful song, legendary, the others are great rockers, but dont quite stack up
-
I hate to do it, but Escher\'s beats DMB to my vote by a cat\'s whisker.

I know it was his birthday and all I honestly just completely forgot about part III

I don\'t know but I do want to hear the song more. I think it is great. Perhaps, it had been over played a little in the past.
-

but you know what this is not the stanley cup and it\'s not world cup soccer and it\'s not the world series and it\'s not NCAA it\'s .info, a world in and of itself. It\'s not the end of the world, hey there\'s always next year.....
^^yeah, that.

no.

here\'s 3 songs. pick the one you like the best.
no, it\'s not rocket science.
I\'ve got an idea: How about in the NCAA basketball tournament if 2 teams tie they combine the teams into one team and take on the next opponent! Or if last night\'s Stanley Cup final game 7 ended in a tie, both teams get to skate around with the cup!
So what are we gonna do when the final ends up in a tie? Just say both songs win and call it a day? Of course not. OK, so we agree there needs to be a tiebreaking system. Great. Now apply it to ties in earlier rounds as well. The 3-way matchup denies the lower seeds any chance they had of pulling an upset.
Suggested tiebreakers: (They\'re not all completely fair, but they\'re way better than the cop out of "both-songs-win".)
- Extend the voting for 24 hours.
- Sudden death. (Next vote wins, deciding vote must come from a user with at least 1 month on .info)
- Add up the total posts of voters on each side (not popular, I know, but effective)
- Tim breaks the tie
- ChrisPitch breaks the tie
- The band girlfriends (Nikki, Lisa, Tangie) = tiebreaking committee

:that: I really dont\' think it matters I pretty sure either of these tunes would have lost out to Eschers anyway.....

3-song matchup is a terrible way to go. DMB and Surreal Radio will simply take votes away from each other thus Escher\'s will win. It\'s like having 2 democrats and 1 republican run for president...the democrats combined might get 10 million more votes than the republican, but the republican will win because he will have more votes than either individual democrat. This isn\'t rocket science, it\'s pretty obvious you can\'t have a 3-way matchup. I can think of about 10 different tiebreaking systems if you need one.
-
3 way dance! 3 way dance!
-
had to give it to escher\'s as well
-
So sad to have to vote agaimst DMB, but Escher\'s is just too great!!!
-
Why are there 3 songs in this match-up?
Drunk Monk vs. Surreal Radio ended in a tie in the first round

that\'s one way to solve the problem of a tie....
no question though, Escher\'s all the way.....
