yeah i heard that one was good. i was getting ready to go and that my buddy backed out once again. let me remind you this is the same kid who was upset that phil and friends closed the show at SPAC so he really wanted to go. **** it he probably just went without me. damn ****.

The GRAB show at Essex was by far the best of the 4 that I saw!!!

Gfunk I would have to agree. Out of the three trey/mike/duo shows Essex was the best, there were some sick jams.....but it just seems that substance is lacking...especially after following a substance full P&F show.

every show I have seen at Essex County has been plagued by rain but it is a wonderful place to see a show.

i thought grab in essex was off the hook. even though they play practically the same setlist every show, i thought they were especially on fire in VT. there was a really sick instrumental song and uncle albert was siiick. the encore was pretty intense it had that big rock and roll show feeling and the lights were looking incredible with the pouring rain slicing through. it was **** pouring!

yeah i was further back on the gravel. After the show we saw the grippo after party show, it **** rocked. Mike and trey were on for the first two songs and the rest of the show continued with the high energy, it was pretty sweet

To begin the evening, Trey, as he has done on several occasions, joined Phil & Friends for their second set which saw the band move through such fan favorites as "Help->Slip->Franklin\'s" and "Not Fade Away." In addition, Mike joined the band and engaged Phil Lesh in a bass duel which was born out of "Viola Lee Blues." Putting the cap on Phil\'s set, Trey, Mike and Page McConnell joined Phil for the band\'s encore of "Midnight Hour."
Later in the evening, during GRAB\'s set, Page took the stage again for another encore, this time a cover of "Who Are You."
Then, putting the cap on the night, Mike, Marco and Trey all made their way over to The Higher Ground after completing their show at Essex Junction, and joined The Dave Grippo Funk Band for nearly a half hour of music.
still isn\'t on etree yet. I\'ve have gotten all the GRAB shows from Rob Clarke and most of the Phil shows from the same taper. The recordings are crisp and clean but there are only snippets of the show from GRAB that have grabbed me so far.

It was so great to see good faces last night! Holly..thanks for the shelter during the rain and remebering me. Todd and Robyn it was unreal when I turned around and you guys were behind me. I hope you found a room OK...I had no idea where I was after the show. Overall a great night of music. Hope to see everyone soon...PJ

phil was excellent, pissed we missed most of first set but the 2nd set was wonderous (viola lee!!!). def gonna devote more time and attention to phil on thursday.
i agree w/ klout about GRAB, the tunes were composed of meh moments in the beginning but when the jams peaked that was pretty cool, but then it ended back to blah... holly and i were def bored on the lawn and i wished it were the breakfast playing on the stage instead of GRAB. the only thing that redeems GRAB is just GRB
other than that..the day was good times!
ps: robyn i still have your blanket, i\'ll def return it to you at mansfield or beardslee!

Last night was a lot of fun! I don\'t remember much of it, but what I saw/heard was great.
highlights include:
-Nikki\'s awesome Margaritas,
-finding seats right behind MakiPJ,
-passing out on the lawn,
-balloons & fireworks in the lot,
-& trying to find a room ANYWHERE after the show!
It was good to see so many BFam... can\'t wait for Mansfield! Woo-hoo! :banrock:

Trey played the entire 2nd set with Phil, I hear. How was it? Seems that most of the reviews I have heard from this tour have all been praising Phil.

last night was a ton of fun, it was awesome running into so many .infoers!!!!! I LOVE .INFOERS!
phil absolutely owned last night. i pretty much only cared about seeing phil\'s sets. yes i love phish and have seen them, blah blah blah, but i really do not dig the trey w/ duo deal. i was so **** unimpressed and just bored when he was on last night.
Its pretty simple if you think about it.
Four good musicians that you like doesnt neccesarily add up to a good band.
And adding members to bands that are already good very often **** up the chemistry and makes the band worse instead of better.
Just look at phil and friends.
Trey doesnt mix well with the duo and gordon. just doesnt mesh well in my opinion.
The songs are weak and the jams are off beat and peak awkwardly and there is very little music that is actually fun to dance to which is what I like to do at rock and roll shows.
There were a few good moments here and there but it was really disapointing overall.

This was seriously GREAT. Prolly the best phil set I have ever seen. Trey played perfectly with them. Leading the jams at the right times in ill fashion and getting Phil and the band really psyched up BUT not doing too much at the same time (i.e. trey ego wank fest take over). It was awesome balance of EXTREMELY rockin highs, powerful soulful lows, prestine sounding melodies.
Second set PNC was also OFF THE HOOK.

they are just on different wave lengths
trey is obviously vibing better with the mature more classic oldschool style (i.e phil) than the fast pace new school crazyness of the duo\'s energy these days because he ruled with phil and sucked with the duo.
maybe the will synch up at some point on the tour. I gotta cut em slack because the first rehearsal with trey was the week after mountain jam.
But I honestly dont see it working out.

were you listening to the same show at SPAC last night. mike/trey/duo or whatever they call themselves were un-funking real. never listened to much of their stuff but did catch their set at bonnaroo and knew when I went to SPAC I would be in for a treat. And they didn\'t let me down. Although I was lucky enough to score a $40 inside seat and if I had taken any sort of mind-altering substances I\'m sure I would still be spinning.
As for PHil and Friends alot of my buddies were sort of upset that Phil was closing the show, some even were considering leaving, which is **** stupid since the main reason I went to the show was to see Phil and Friends. Then after the show these same people were kind of upset that Joan sang most of the songs, but I loved the selection as well as Joan much improved dancing compared to her with The Dead during the 2004 tour. But that\'s just my opinion that it for what it\'s worth.

Great wrap up Spaceman... couldn\'t have said it better myself. One adjustment... Mr. Completely actually clocked in around 16 minute mark... and Trey already has a copy of it on his site for download. May need to head to Hartford tomorrow. Any tickets floating around? Phil has a great line up; Joan sounded great, Larry Campbell does some amazing guitar work and his Sax player is great. Magnolia Mountain was a surprise for me, and probably my show highlight

I\'ll go to the Trey/ Gordon/ Duo show at the Masquerade in Atlanta. That\'s gonna be an unbelievable venue for this show. I\'m not even a huge Phish fan but this looks interesting because it may be instrumental-only, which is exactly what Trey needs to do for once. His lyrics are ok but just once I would love to see them just get together and jam!

TREY, MIKE and the DUO will be playing an eleventieth date with PHIL LESH & FRIENDS on Thursday, July 6th at the Tweeter Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts. A presale for this show and the Toronto show on July 18 will start tomorrow morning, Tuesday,May 16 at 12 NOON EST at http://treytickets.rlc.net. Tickets for the Tweeter show will go onsale to the public this Saturday, May 20 at 10am EST. Tickets for the Toronto show will go onsale to the public the following Friday, May 26 at 12 NOON EST.

I didn\'t check my e-mail the last couple days, but just went and got SEC 4 ROW U seats 27, 26 for Mansfield
Also got SEC 6 ROW AA seats 31, 32 because I didn\'t like the location of the first set. Sec 4 seats are possibly up for grabs.

Our tix for Hartford are in 500....waaaayyyy in back also, just in the center. Only got lawn for SPAC, gonna see if I can get pavillion from analmaster. VT is gonna be killer!!!!!
