First night looks better on paper anyways. Hook it up!

where did you find the setlist for night 1? I can\'t seem to find it anywhere. I\'m hoping they come back for a full out tour later on this year after these small shows are over
same goes for Tool
-
you both suck. So does my friend Mike who went last night. wish I got tickets. Ah, I can\'t be mad though. Radiohead never seems to fail. I completely agree with wolf on radiohead jamming though. They would be one of the best band ever if they would just open up a little, a segway here and there...
-
wolfman was basically sitting in the same row as us in the next section over..
Who\'s this "us" you speak of? Cause I was 3 rows behind your wife, who you apparently don\'t sit with at shows. (Actually, maybe you\'re on to something there...) When Li told me that you guys had seperate tickets it launched me into telling my buddy the story of how we left Li in the car for an entire Phish show when our foursome was 1 ticket short. rotfl Good times.
yeah, we had separate seats, but i called her when i got to my seat and told her to come over when the show started since there was plenty of room where i was. so we spent the whole show together.. she told me where you were sitting, and she was the one that pointed you out when i came over to say hi..
after getting shut out for the NY shows looking for pairs of tickets, i went for single tickets for the boston show(s), to make sure i got in the door..
oh, and let me just say that it was a great thing to be able to stand in front of 2 TVs with a ton of boston people and watch the yankees take a 13-2 lead over the red sox before radiohead even took the stage! when the yanks went up 8-2 in the 2nd, people kept walking by and squinting, all saying the same thing - "is that an 8???". good times indeed.

The show was great. Idioteque was my highlight, as it was at my first show 3 years ago. Song translates fantastically live. Climbing Up The Walls was a pretty ballsy opener I thought. Not too rockin\', just a medium/mellow way to slide into action. (Like The Breakfast opening with a mellow jam > Episode I, or Phish opening with Roggae.) It may or may not have worked but it was certainly gutsy/not obvious. This band does an incredible job of changing dynamics. They can shift gears from hard stadium-rockers to ambient psychedelia to downright romantic ballads in the blink of an eye, and they have great tunes at all levels. I really haven\'t seen or heard a band that could do this so well since Phish. If Radiohead ever starting toying with some 8-12 minute jams they could romp over the jamband scene overnight. Maybe they\'ll let loose at Bonnaroo, who knows. But no need, their gig works as it is. I wish we could see these guys more often. Certainly one of the most interesting bands of our generation.

17 Planet Telex
Encore 1:
18 Like Spinning Plates
19 Arpeggi
20 No Surprises
21 Everything In Its Right Place
Encore 2:
22 The Tourist
fantastic show, though from the looks of the setlists, night one looks even better. no matter though, it was great. i really dug the new tunes too. highlights for me were the CUTW opener, the Planet Telex closer, There There, and Idioteque. wasn\'t big on ending with The Tourist, and i was really hoping for another song after it (considering it was only 10:50), but they were done, and the peck-sprint to the car was in full effect. managed to get right out, although we couldn\'t find 90 and just ended up getting on 93, but.. whatever..
wolfman was basically sitting in the same row as us in the next section over..
had a big time recording mishap last night. managed to smuggle all the gear in without a problem (no pat down whatsoever!), but while getting set up before radiohead came on, my damn Nomad wouldn\'t turn on! if it ain\'t one thing... i got over it pretty quick though, and enjoyed the hell out of the show. i\'m not too worried, since i\'m grabbing night 1 schoeps off dime right now.. though knowing my luck, i\'ll end up being the only would-be taper for last night.. :sigh:
slept about two and a half hours.. 45 minutes more sleep than i got after Pearl Jam night 1 Boston.. go tuesday!

Two pavilions for 6/5 Boston. I finally broke the curse!

Start checking back as the date gets closer. They will release tickets you just have to keep plugging away. Good luck everybody!
-
All of the frickin\' ticket "agencies" are getting faster and faster with their automated systems that snatch up ticketbastard tix within 2 minutes of going on sale. Yet ticketbastard won\'t do anything about it....they\'re making their money!!! :sigh:
-
try again tomorrow for boston.
-
i logged on right at 10. i don\'t understand how the hell i didn\'t get a ticket. unbelievable.
-
both nights sold out in 6 minutes. Never had a chance. damn ticketbastard.

aw yeah! thanks for the heads up on the tix sale. totally would have missed it otherwise.
-
Nice......probably the only big concert I would be interested in attending at this time.
-
I used to go to a head shop in meriden rather than the mall. Always had good luck there.
-
Yeah, I\'m like 0-for-44 lifetime in getting through for hard tickets to ANYTHING. Of course I always end up in the show in the end, we all do, but Ticketmaster battles just aren\'t my forte.
Actually, I gotta give myself some credit. I was very, very good at getting tickets when there were actual lines of people. (Unfortunately those days are over!) I was at least 6 for 6, and I know I never got shut out. Made several 5am trips to the mall in high school for Phish and DMB tickets, was always at the front of the line which would be hundreds long come 10AM. Then when they started doing the raffle-rearrangement thing, I would make sure to bring 4 or 5 people so that after they gave out the raffle tickets I would have our whole party trade numbers with people throughout the line so no matter what number ended up first, we couldn\'t be any worse than about 20th. I was the only one rockin\' that trick. Also pulled a huge move for Phish tickets one time by driving over an hour from Amherst to Southbridge past 4 other Ticketmaster outlets to go to a mom-and-pop video store that happened to have Ticketmaster rather than go to a mall. There were only 20 people in line (four of whom were in our party), and 14 of them were there for Springsteen tickets that went on sale at the same time. We did the raffle-swap trick, ended up 2nd in line, and were the only ones who got Phish tickets in that line because it sold out in 3 minutes. (I felt really bad for the other Phish fans who got shut out while waiting for Springsteen fans to process their tickets!) I wish they still had actual lines, they were fun!
But as far as online and phone go, forget it, I\'m totally inept for some reason.
-
you don\'t need to be a member of anything for waste ticketing..
-
As much as I like radiohead, I never joined the fan club. I kick myself every time they tour as a result. :banghead:
-
apparently there was a waste presale this morning around 6am.. tickets are long gone, with the exception of the san diego shows..
-
getting tickets will not be an enjoyable experience. i\'ll be trying for boston and NY though.. fingers crossed..
:that:

Sweet! June 5th = day off for sure!
Chez Wolfman can be postgame headquarters after night 1 for anyone who wants to stay in Boston!
-
no dc dates.... they still owe us for two shows they bailed on a few years ago.
and if y\'all go, make sure you get there on time! back in 03, we pulled in about an hour after doors opened (figuring we still had time before they hit the stage) and they were 3/4\'s of the way through their set. sucked big time!
-
boston...why does it have to be a sunday and monday????? don\'t they know people work early on weekdays!!!!

RADIOHEAD ANNOUNCE U.S. DATES
June 1-30 U.S. shows to follow May 6-19 UK/Euro dates
Radiohead has announced a series of theatre dates in the U.S., beginning June 1 & 2 in Philadelphia and concluding with a pair of dates June 29 & 30 at Los Angeles\' Greek Theater.
Set lists for the shows will draw heavily on the newer material the band has been working on over the past months. The performances will take place in smaller than usual venues, and will feature appropriately scaled down staging and lighting design, creating a suitably intimate environment for the first ever airings of several new songs.
The low-key theater dates will punctuated by a June 17 headline stand at the Bonnaroo festival in Manchester, Tennessee, and will be preceded by similar dates in Europe and the UK followed by a run of UK/Europe festival dates including the already sold out V festival Aug. 19 & 20, with others TBA.
There are no plans for a Radiohead album release any time in 2006.
