Yeah, dvd June 27 and return 10/28-31 at MSG .confirmed
-
Oh. Well if that\'s not a show, then the comeback is definitely the 4-night Halloween run at MSG.
-
yeah DVD is up on amazon and mike\'s new site, though it has been getting pushed back for what seems like a year, night 1 was awesome and night 2 also had some amazing highlights!

Cmon, really? There\'s a Phish show in 7 weeks and there\'s been no announcement yet? Plus the Cylcones have a home game the day before and the day after. So the Phish crew is gonna swoop in as soon as the last out is recorded on the 26th, build that entire stage from scratch in about 16 hours overnight, do the show, strike the entire setup in 14 hours and leave the team to play on a trampled field the next day? It might be physically possible with zero margin for error and it might not, but even if it is why go to all that trouble? Why not just play in an actual music venue? I love Phish rumours.
i believe spacey was answering the question \'when is the phish keyspan DVD coming out?\'...

I got temporarily kicked out of the second one
:hscratch: How the hell do you get "temporarily" kicked out of a show???
Being that it\'s a single-A baseball stadium that typically hosts crowds of 1,000 docile people as opposed to 15,000 raging heads, the place has no security on staff. So what they did was they hired every male meathead in Brooklyn aged 18-22 for the night, threw a security shirt on them, and told them who-knows-what. They all came wasted and foaming at the mouth to drag around some heads. They were kicking out people left and right for anything, and by kicking out I mean gang-tackling them with six dudes and physically dragging them all the way out of the place even if they didn\'t resist. One of them barked at me for standing too close to a gate that seperated the field area from the bleacher area. All I said was "OK" and moved a few feet. 5 minutes later he came back with 4 others, they gang-tackled me (from behind), kicked me in the head a few times, and dragged me out.
Thing is, inept security can be used to your advantage too. I walked out to my car, counted 100, pounded 2 beers, changed my shirt for good measure, and then proceeded to walk back in via the exact same entrance I had been dragged out of just 10 minutes earlier. It\'s the only time I ever got kicked out of a Phish show. Not your typical venue, for sure.

i am first and foremost a raging phishhead, albeit a late bloomer(mostly post-hiatus).... and i would love to see them come back and i would obviously see as many shows as possible
that said, by the time they come back, i\'ll be so addicted to breakfast that when the two nastiest bands ever play on the same night i\'ll be front row raging save side fa sho.... except for maybe the phirst night back
..... and maybe i flip a coin for a halloween:idunno:
..... and maybe i bash my head against a wall for new years....:banghead:

spacey-- thats **** hilarious. doesnt sound like a bad idea for my summer job
-
That is the first time I have seen it more specific than a month and a year. I\'m keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for the heads up.
-
Are we just gonna do this thread every year until one of them croaks? Is that what it\'s gonna take?
Keyspan would be cool though. I made $800 a night for 2 nights selling beer in the lot last time! Walsh and I parked next to each other by coincidence and cranked beer and Jell-O shots to newbie kidz all day. "If you\'re underage it\'s time to rage!" Plus there\'s crystal-clear sound out in the lot. I went into both shows but when I got temporarily kicked out of the second one I was stunned at how perfect the sound was in the lot. I\'d be content to show up without a ticket, make bank off all the kidzzz, and take in the show from outside.
Honestly though, I don\'t want Phish to come back. Is that ok?

I don\'t think anybody has a clue.
-
Isn\'t the Keyspan date pushed back to June now?
-
If/when Phish comes back together I will definitely catch the shows in my area. I had a lot of fun at the second night of Keyspan and would love to see them do something like that again. I wish they would hurry up and release the dvd.
in all i am more on the breakfast bandwagon than the phish bandwagon
:that:I love being able to catch such an amazing band in intimate surroundings. I want the band to blow up but I also fear it.:wah:
-
I am there too... but I am at 10K lakes for all of that. Bummer the breakfast is not there. I agree with him/her who said they would rather see the breakfast or tea leaf green right now. I love tea leaf green, but the breakfast melts me, hits me in all the right places, and are the force of my future. They should be the force of the future to many minds, souls, dreams, and passions. they are beyond good, they are (compared to phish) so under-rated, and they mix it up, throw down changes, and create an atmosphere of music that phish rivals in their hayday, but, still, 45 bucks a ticket, if you score one, or a chance to talk to the band one on one, see them for free, and collaborate with the **** fans here on .info. in all i am more on the breakfast bandwagon than the phish bandwagon. and that comes from a hard core phish fan. look, we have all we need right here, the breakfast is a quinessential jam/funk/rock/mindmelt band that we all love. so i will see you on that proposed phish tour, but until then I will drink up as much breakfast as they can come to colorado and give. see you there.!!!!!!!!!
-
I won\'t hold my breath but I will be there if it happens!
-
^^^^^^hahah great post....i for one want to see them come back in due time...i just dont want stuff to get messed up again...needless to say its going to be an eerie feeling i feel like a the first few shows as everyone is gonna feel like its getting dragged out. i would at least just based on the fact that they made it so clear that it was "the end" last time. regardless, i want them back like nothing elese and i have for the last 2 years
-
Trey changes his mind about matters like this at the drop of a hat.
If they do decide to tour I will invest heavily in the nitrous industry.
-
If I had to pick a single concert to attend this summer, it would be the 1,000th breakfast show at toads.
fixed.
-
i didnt say they wont tour, i just said they are dunzo.
-
phish=dunzo
yes, jim cobb knows more about phish\'s plans than Trey does... you heard it first at .info!
-
phish=dunzo
-
they really shouldn\'t get back together. it\'s over, johnny. no hiatus will change that.
:that:
-
yeah spacey, i was trying to buy a cymbal...the auctions are dunzo though, it was also really old stuff that hadn\'t been used since about 95 at the latest though
-
Has anyone else heard about the Fishman auction where he is getting rid of all his drum equipment from Phish tours?
-
For those freaking out .You all are so funny. He said he HOPES to get Phish back together in a FEW YEARS!
That is a ways off if it even happens.
Trey LOVES to PHUCK WITH PHANS.
-
duude!! i won\'t have enough money to afford another phish tour for at least a year. ****, i\'m still recovering from last time. i hope they wait till i have some loot. but i think i\'d rather see TB at their prime than phish past theirs
-
if they come back after having practiced, then great, i can\'t wait!
but if they pull the same **** as they did in 04, i\'m gonna stand in front of their tour bus, pointing and laughing.
that being said, mike w/the duo is great. i just hope trey doesn\'t get in their way too much!
-
there\'s a list of proposed dates floating around the net, couldn\'t find it right now but i know it had meadows on July 3rd! that would be amazing sonsidering the next day is a holiday
i dont know how anyone could not want phish to gt back together! conmeon1
-

I second that emotion!!!
inspiration for the sn00p avatar, Cobb??
although on principle alone, I concur.

Won\'t everyone be over TLG by then?;)
-
Well it seems he said he hopes to get Phish back together in a few years.
If so I will probably hit as many shows as I did as when they were on their way out. Not many and I only travelled to Vegas and L.A. for those.
I hope to be spending my music travel $$ for Breakfast and TLG shows by then.
When Are The Dates Going To Be Announced??!?
Dates w/ Phil are supposed to come out 5/2 I believe.
-
If Phish is back, I\'ll be there(ALOT), if not c\'est la vie! Trey/Mike/Duo will be crazy...who said they are with Phil?
-

I\'ve seen the madness that is Benevento/Russo, add Trey and Gordo in the mix, and I\'m in.. have them opening for Phil and Friends, I\'m on board for a while.......
my thoughts exactly.
I can\'t wait to see the Duo with Trey & Mike. Especially opening for Phil. Good times indeed.
-
I love the duo, but **** phish. they\'re nothing to me.

I cant wait to see Phish again...Imagine how much the tickets are going to be when/if they get back together?
Will it be worth there playing.
I love Phish as much as the next Phishhead. I was fortunate enough to see shows since 1994 and I got my fill. Nothing can top some of those mid-90 years. I liked the direction Phish was headed but they became too sloppy. Perhaps thats because they became the kings of jamming and Trey no longer had to stay up till the wee hours of the morning writing segues into songs so they flowed seamless.
I would rather Phish keep where they are then to go back on there word and sound like poop.
However, with that being said, during the Encore Break my friend and I turned to each other and said "If this isn\'t Fluffhead, then they are down for good."
its funny. my first phish show was IT and my last was Coventry. so most likely I will be hopping out on tour as well.
You just said "**** Phish and **** Trey"

Lets put it this way. If Phish does come back, all bands are going to be **** except the ones that can book late night post show gigs.
The duo plus Mike and Trey? that would be deliciousily SER!!
-
i heard bits and pieces of hte interview on sirius. al i heard was he has a new solo album out. im not a real big fan of phish, im more into the dead and seeing what the breakfast has planned for the future. **** phish, especially trey.
-
I am pretty shocked this is all happening- trey/mike+the duo, opening for Phil!?!?!? :wah:
fuckin nuts if it really happens
-
I\'ll believe it when I am purchasing tickets for a tour. Trey said on Charlie Rose that there was no way they were getting back together, they were done. Trey is also a joker. So until I am standing in an arena waiting for the house lights to go down and the preshow music to go off, I won\'t hold my breath.
-
can\'t wait for the tour, cant wait for more phish!
-
Got this from phish.net, Trey was interviewed on Sirius and this is all I got on it, I tryed to get some info from PT but they\'re pretty all over the place over there. But here\'s what was on phish.net, take it for whatever it\'s worth I guess. As for me, if they do comeback I will have mixed feelings, though I believe this board has already been through this a few times.
4/27/06 - Trey & Mike to tour; Phish to return
In an interview on an Atlanta radio station today, Trey (likely in Atlanta for studio work with a producer he\'s teamed up with before) confirmed rumos that he, Mike, and the Benevento/Russo duo will tour together this summer. Though tickets and billing will likely portray some hierarchy among the bill\'s acts, rumors (based on previous things Mike and Trey have said) describe the tour as some sort of interactive meld, with each of the 3 doing their own stuff, as well as some interaction among them.
Trey also mentioned that he "hopes to get Phish back together in a few years", dispelling rumors of an October 2006 reunion but confirming common suspicions that this "breakup" is really a second hiatus.
If anyone with a subjective (may not be the word I am thinking of) mind actually listened to the interview and can shed some light that\'s be super.
